He was never serious about leaving Minnesota unless it was a HC spot.

Cowboys fans are shitting all over Gannon on Twitter/X and TurdZone, but Gannon is getting interviewed by virtually every team that needs a DC. Two day interview with Pack now.
Obviously he isnt my 1st choice but Amigo Icup likes him, so that's good enough for me.

Vic Fangio is pretty highly regarded as a defensive mind, Parker has been his right hand guy in two stops now.
Maybe this doesn't work out, but I applaud them for going outside their norm in addition to clearly letting Schottenheimer pick the guy HE wanted.
We needed to try something different, we've been doing pretty much the same ole same ole for far too long.

I say let him roll. The defense can't possibly be any worse than the last two years. And I'm happy Jones and spawn are finally giving their HC some room to work.

I know where he has been and what he’s done. He’s a disciple of Vic Fangio who runs a complicated scheme.
Our guys are too stupid to be able to pick up, understand, and run any version of Fangios scheme.
Hell, last season we had to dumb down our current defensive calls to a single fucking word because our guys were too stupid to pick up more than a one word play call!

There's gonna be a lot of new guys on defense this year Amigo.
This guy is highly regarded as a teacher, lets see if that holds true here before dismissing him completely.
I have no idea if he will be good or not, he certainly has a positive background and there was a number of teams/coaches interested in him as a DC. I'm glad we didnt do what we always do and were willing to go a new direction. The HC here clearly pulled the trigger on this and that's also a move on the positive side, even if it doesnt work.
