What do the Cowboys receive if they win the Wash. game different than if they didn't win the Wash. game?

I think they're the #2 seed if they win and #5 if they don't.
Yeah if we shit the fuckin BED we wind up on the road for any and every playoff game, but when we fuckin WIN we get two home playoffs games guaranteed. We need to fuckin WIN this goddamn game. We NEED to hang a fortyburger on these hapless fux in their coach's last game as head man.

Win and Cowboys win NFC East and #2 seed in NFC, which means we are guaranteed two home games (assuming we win the first WC gae). If San Fran were to somehow lose in the divisional round, Dallas would then have HFA for the NFC Championship as well (if we were still alive)

If we lose and Philly wins, we are the 5th seed and have to go on road for the playoffs, the only way we'd have a home field playoff game is if the 6th or 7th seed somehow got the NFC Championship game. If both Philly and Dallas lose, we still win the division but Detroit would be the 2nd seed of they win v Minnesota.

This game is huge. While it's not a win or go home game, because of how well this team has played at home all yr and getting a chance to have two home playoff games, it's HUGE for us.

Do we trust them?
Not really, although it's hard to see them actually LOSING tomorrow. Washington is sitting a bunch of guys and they were a bad team anyway.

Now will we go out there and run through a wall to blow them out early and get our key guys out of there? Taht remains to be seen. Probably wouldn't be that surprising if we win but our guys let Washington hang around for most, if not all the game. (which would be very disappointing)

We should come out like gangbusters tomorrow.

Per Bleacher Report:

Coming off back-to-back playoff losses defined by some baffling coaching decisions, Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is under as much pressure as anyone going into this postseason.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, there's a belief around the NFL that McCarthy's future will be tied to how the Cowboys' final game goes.

"If the Cowboys play well in the postseason," Schefter wrote, "McCarthy would have an excellent chance to keep his job. But if they struggle and end the season with an embarrassing loss, as has happened in each of the past two years, then some say that change could come to Dallas."
If the Cowboys have another ugly loss in the playoffs, it won't be a surprise if Jerry Jones decides to move on from McCarthy.

The last two seasons have ended in rough fashion for the Cowboys. They lost in the 2021 NFC Wild Card Game to the San Francisco 49ers when time ran out after Dak Prescott scrambled for 17 yards.

In a rematch with the 49ers in last year's NFC Divisional Round, McCarthy's final play call with Ezekiel Elliott snapping the ball as the only offensive lineman was roundly mocked.

There were reasons beyond McCarthy that the Cowboys lost both games. Prescott struggled in the playoff loss last year, throwing two interceptions that led to six points for the 49ers in a game that ended with a 19-12 final score.

But the combination of questionable play-calling and clock management, plus being in his fourth season with a Cowboys team that has been regarded as one of the most-talented in the NFL over the past three years is going to put a bright spotlight on McCarthy.

McCarthy has led the Cowboys to 35 wins since the start of the 2021 season. That's tied with the 49ers for second-most in the NFL, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs (36).

The Cowboys haven't advanced beyond the divisional round since they last won the Super Bowl in 1995. They are set up to win the NFC East for the second time in three years if they defeat the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

If the Cowboys beat Washington, they will be the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs. They could also win the division title if the Philadelphia Eagles lose to the New York Giants.

Interesting tidbits on the Foreskins this season.

They are 0-6-1 at home ATS this year. Worst in the league. They also give up an NFL worst 7.8 yds per attempt at home this year, also worst in the league. And they are missing two or three key DB's incl a starting CB.

Foreskins home games this year (6 game losing streak)

Cardinals W 20-16
Bills L 3-37
Bears L 20-40
Eagles L 31-38
Giants L 19-31
Dolphins L 15-45
Niners L 10-27

Overall. 1 win, 6 losses. Pts scored 118 Pts Allowed 234 Avg score 16.8 v 33.4

They've lost seven straight and haven't won a game in the division this year. Losing tomorrow would be a calamity of epic proportions.

Dallas is a 13-point favorite, the only team in the league favored by double digits this week. That said, no repeat of last years game against Washington. Boys win at Washington 29-16. 😤

I think the difference is last year's game meant nothing to the team, and they played like it. We couldn't
win the division and we were locked into the 5th spot W or L.
