I can see the thought process behind trying to get the first down and ending the game. But you're throwing it to a rookie who made a bonehead play and went out of bounds. He also didn't run the route deep enough....you have to run that route to the first down marker. If you run it there, you basically punt and give the Giants the ball with 1 minute left and no TO's. They just said on NFL Network the only three quarterbacks in Cowboys history to go 3-0 in their first three starts are Staubach, Garrett and Cooper Rush. Some stats are just too weird to be made up...
