This hearing is a disgrace to this country, and since when did "1776" become a negative term that will get a person who utters it sanctioned? The civil suits to prevent MTG and other Republicans from running for office are a much great attack on Democracy or representative government than the protest on January 6.

Legal definition of insurrection: “a violent uprising by a group or movement acting for the specific purpose of overthrowing the constituted government and seizing its powers. "

The Jan 6 protest was not an insurrection. No one was trying to seize the power of government that day. Trump was still in power on Jan 6 for one thing and no one has been charged with insurrection for participating in the protest or vandalism. The worst acts of violence that day were perpetrated by Capitol Hill police, including the murder of Ashlii Babbit an unarmed protester who was only about 10 ft away from armed police at the moment she was shot.
Well said.

This is a real stupid question and I'm looking for a serious answer or a link to some reporting that explains it. So the French president (Macron) was tracking at an approval rate below 40%.....but he wins re-election by getting 58% of the vote (or something like that). Now, some folks are saying that voters stayed home but I find it hard to believe that conservative leaning voters who don't like the current president would sit at home in mass and let him get re-elected. Most conservatives are energized and it's not like them to sit out an election and let a socialist with a 30 plus percent approval rating get re-elected. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I'm not looking for an answer that it's fraud unless there's some evidence of it. I'm really trying to get an explanation. And I don't believe it's a coincidence that Biden's Chief of Staff Tweeted something to the effect that this happened. A harbinger of things to come?

^^^^ Leftists know how to steal elections.

I have to tell you dbair, I'm reading the comments in that Tweet I posted and it's still not making any sense. They hung the "pro-Putin" label on LePen and maybe she was. I have no idea of French politics. But for a conservative voter to lean socialist left at the ballot box is highly improbable. Some folks commented that we have the electoral college in the US but it still doesn't explain how Macron received 58% of the vote. It's a head scratcher for me.....

Texas Rep. Chip Roy rips into DHS Secretary Mayorkas, while the enemy, the Dems label it as slander. We must fight hard and harder in Congress against the Biden Administration's disregard for US Border Security!!!!

Sen. Rand Paul on the Border: "If I were in charge, I'd put a helicopter station every five miles, and anybody who comes across would be immediately transported back," said Paul. "You don't get processed at all unless you come through legal ports of entry."

House Republicans Are Reportedly Gearing Up to Impeach a Key Biden Administration Official, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Conservatives in the House apparently have seen enough. The Republican Study Committee, which represents more than 150 conservative members, is fixing its sights on the man in charge of border security and immigration under Biden.

Chip Roy's on the money but honestly, fuck Chip Roy and all the Republicans, including that scrub McCarthy. This clown Mayorkas should and MUST be impeached if/when the Republicans take the house and Senate. What Mayorkas, Biden and their ilk are doing to the border and this country is utterly treasonous. And jackoffs like Biden and Mayorkas are tasked with defending the laws of the land. BUt you know? The scrub Republicans will do nothing and they're not serious about it. It's all for show. We need to gut the Republican party of all the weak ass bureaucrats and bring in new blood; fighters.

I replied above before I read your next post but it doesn't make a difference. I don't believe them. They should run on a very detailed platform, which includes impeachment if they win both houses. But you know what that cocksucker McCarthy stated in your article?

"McCarthy stopped short of outright calling to impeach Mayorkas when asked about the possibility during a news conference at the border on Monday."

That's why I say these Republicans have to go. Gutless, spinless swamp dwellers who are just as bad as the Dems. Except the Dems try to do what they say they're going to do, come hell or high water; they're ideologues. Republicans are just as corrupt and they're slimy bottom feeders.

Indeed.

Thats why I don't ever claim to be a Republican, because I am far more conservative than many of those losers and actually don't believe in any type of big government. Most of those slobs up there truly don't believe (or want that)

Well of course it is possible they well could have rigged the election there like they did for Biden but I can tell you from first hand experience that French people are just plain fucking weird so it is impossible to assign rational thoughts and ideas to them in the same way Americans think. I work for a global French owned company an deal with French people almost daily. Of the hundreds I have dealt with over the years I have met a grand total of two who I would consider normal by American standards. Funny things is both of them have ended up wanting to stay here with one of them already becoming an American citizen and the other one in the process. I have heard both of them (in two completely different sections of the company) make fun of other French people after meetings for their ridiculous "Frenchness" (as I like to call it).

Yeah I always vote that way and have never once voted for a democrat. There were a couple in my younger years that I could have considered, but ultimately I havent done it and definitely won't now. That party is completely bonkers.

But those big government RINO's arnt much better and deserve to be ran out of DC just like the DEMS
