Old liberals were more libertarian and Maher is one of them. Despite ideological differences Everyone used to agree the constitution was the law of the land. Even "progressive" liberals like Hubert Humphrey defended the right to bear arms. The new liberals believes the constitution is obsolete and because it was partially written by slave owners is my be evil like slavery.

But his BS still comes through in his seemingly centrist monologues. For example, Obama saying we are on nation united? Seriously? Obama divided us with his actions while speaking in platitudes. And by the way, Bill Maher grew up one town over from where I grew up in suburban NJ. He went to the same High School my kids went to. While this was an affluent predominantly white community there were black students in the school district. There was no redlining here.

Beware of people like Maher. They will come back to bite you.

No doubt Maher is still a lefty. I would not trust him farther than I could throw Andre the Giant but listening to him recite monologues like the one I posted accentuate how uber batshit crazy main line leftist have gone. They have fallen over the left side of oblivion. Maher is still the type of leftist I have always hated since I can remember even if he does sound almost centrist compared to the uber lunatics.

I just finished filing my income taxes today. I continue to call for the repeal of the 16th amendment!

No single person should have to pay as much in income taxes as my wife and I do. The 16th amendment basically legalized theft. Our tax system is legalized fraud. There is so much wrong with the tax system in America but the left has everyone brainwashed into believing not giving most of your money to them is unpatriotic. The most patriotic thing we can do is force congress to spend within their means and to stop robbing half of our income to pay for their boondoggles. They use our money to buy our votes. It is insane. and it has nothing to do with patriotism.

I believe we should repeal the 16th amendment and write a flat tax into the constitution. Everyone pays something. If paying taxes is patriotic then why isn't everyone paying something?

not to mention the confusing, pain in the ass doing tax return is. I tried to do my girlfriends last night and threw up my hands and told her to just pay someone ( I was a CPA ), her pay stub has like 20 fucking deductions, its insane

The answer was never to buy Twitter to stop leftist censorship. The right answer is for all free speech loving Americans to delete their Twitter accounts and move to one of the free speech platforms. Twitter has now resorted to putting their stock at risk rather than earn their shareholders more than a 50% profit on their shares just to prevent Musk from eliminating the biased censorship on Twitter.

At this point Musk's best strategy is to buy more shares until he reaches the poison pill threshold and then begin buying discounted shares as fast as he can. Then as the price begins to stabilize, he should dump all his shares and tank the stock causing shareholders to sue the Twitter board for fiduciary malpractice.

At this point anyone who remains on Twitter, particularly the conservatives, has taken the side against free speech. These people are worse than Democrat traitors. They refuse to make any sacrifice to support free speech.

TBH, she had a gun, but is not a suspect as a shooter. They have not brought those people in. Who would want to rat on a murderous gang member?? The solution is for all good persons to be armed, ready to take down these gang members that open fire.
