The BS is quoted above. Because ppl get away with shit means everyone should?

No. It means there are things that shouldn't be a blip on the police radar. And this is one of them. How many times have you heard of the police being called in this type of circumstance? I figured......

Orrrr you could just call the cops and let them do their job.

Or you could just simply remove it.

They're gonna assume you either put them there yourself or intentionally left them there.

Really, do you even want to be answering questions about it? Hell no, you remove the shit.

Yes...I'm sure people will think the business owner did that.

It happens all the time.

Daily if necessary? Stop.

By the way it wouldn't surprise me if this perp's multiple "retail theft" charges weren't gas drive-offs from this same location.

There's more to this than we know. It sounds like a vendetta at play.

Yep just leave the stickers there and take your chances with customers assumptions. I already know of one who won't be using them, because they called the cops on a lunatic idiot.

These things are all over the place. You're just not going to call the police and arrest people for this. But like I said, if I'm wrong and there have been more arrests, please refer me to them.

Your cashiers don't involve themselves in that. Hell, most businesses will tell you to not intervene in a store robbery for liability purposes. I wouldn't go there. That's me. No more than I would go to the diner who happened to call the police on an old timer who didn't have the money to pay for his meal. That did happen in my area. And yes, the guy could have been arrested but the police didn't make an arrest and they went on their way.

Good God. First of all, store clerks are trained to call the cops in cases of vandalism or drive-offs. They cooperate during robberies but after, they call the cops.

Secondly. The old timer - did he throw a big fit and start a fight with the cops? Sounds like he was smarter than this idiot perp. That's how he stayed out of jail. This perp would have as well.

You're grasping at straws trying to justify yourself. I'm starting to feel shame for you.

Other accounts of this have the police not even called, they observed him and acted. Think about that. Totally destroys your narrative about the "little lefty" calling the mean ole cops.

Google it.

Not even the article linked says the store called the cops. It was just an assumption.

Other articles on this say Reed and Malloy of fucking Adam-12 happened along and saw the perp committing the vandalism and confronted him on their own.

Moar narratives get shot down. Ain't that innerstin.

Not the case. Police were dispatched but that's really not the point.

It's not a narrative. Just the facts as I've read them. The loon should have been locked up for fighting with the police.

Don't play coy. Show me where anyone was arrested for placing a silly sticker on a gas pump. I'll wait (again).

If the sticker said "BLM" and the clerk called the cops, they'd label the clerk a racist and scream of racial profiling or something.

And the person absolutely wouldn't be arrested.

Never said anyone was. You've confused yourself.
Police were dispatched but that's really not the point.
So, you're ok doing business with the store now, since your "little lefty" narrative got shot down? Was it a customer who called? Or did the cops just happen to spot the activity, as Fox News is reporting?

Show you when cops are called over class C misdemeanors? 1000s daily, as you well know.

So you go from "it happens all the time" to "never said anyone was" when I asked how many arrests have been made under this circumstance. And you think I'm confused? Good Lord.

I'm not for a couple of reasons (and I'm not so sure my lefty narrative has been shot down). First, this BS. But second, Turkey Hill is an idiot fest in my area. They do all sorts of stupid shit, like card people in their 50's, 60's and 70's to buy a pack of smokes. They're infamously stupid. I avoid these types of establishments.

Let me try to be as succinct and as clear as possible for all you thick headed hang em high dudes that are easily offended by every idiot out there.

If you're going to own a business, you'd better have thick skin. I've had to clean up shit because the old folks missed the damn toilet....or cleaned up barf in sinks and around toilets. I've had to pay to get carpets cleaned because idiot parents can't control their unruly kids who drop and spill everything on a carpet. People have stuck/taped shit on walls that caused the paint to come off when you try to remove it. People have broken property, backed into retaining walls and run over landscaping. People haven't paid for goods and/or services. You'll be yelled at and cursed at but you don't call the cops to charge simple assault. All this comes with the territory. If you want to call the police every time stupid shit happens, you're a damn fool. Especially in today's day and age when everyone is on social media.

You have to have a line. If someone damages a car or home or property that you can't easily solve or need extensive repairs...I get it. You may need to call the man. If someone puts a sticky on a gas pump that you lease from the fuel supplier, then go out and fucking remove it at a minimal expense. I've seen them on gas pumps. But not the extent where it's a huge issue.

I hope this makes it clear for any easily offended softies. Fuck off calling the cops or approaching some idiot under these circumstances.

EDIT: And yes, that includes the fools on the other side of the spectrum with BLM stickers.

So please tell me what the misunderstanding is with what I posted. I'll ask one more time for you and even broaden the parameters. How many times have the police been called in this circumstance? Circumstance is the key word. Do you know of any situation where A) police were called because some fool was putting an "I did that" sticker on a gas pump or B) someone was arrested for putting "I did that" sticker on a gas pump. Show me.
