Michael Gallop is just now undergoing knee surgery to repair his torn ACL

Now why in the fuck did this shit bag wait this long to get the surgery done?

It should have been done asap to allow him the max time for healing and rehab.

This tells me he's going to be re-signed by Dallas and get a monster contract. It's how we operate. Then he'll miss training camp while he's healing, get no reps and have a sub-par season that won't be worth the money we'll be paying him.

I think it has to do with the severity of the tear and the amount of swelling and/or other damage that might be there.

I am not an ortho expert but a couple of my friends that tore ACL's had different schedules for their surgery. One had to wait several weeks for swelling to subside enough.

Google can be your friend too Scot:

How long after an ACL tear should you have surgery?

For a complete tear of the ACL, reconstruction surgery is generally scheduled for between three and six weeks after the injury occurs. This allows inflammation in the area to subside. If surgery is performed too early, patients may develop a profound scarring response called arthrofibrosis.

I just checked

He was injured in week 17, on Jan 2nd. It seems like it was a much much longer time ago than just last month. It feels like it was a few months ago

According to several people that cover the team, looking very likely Cooper and Lawrence are both released

By the numbers…

Greg the leg sucks! He was last in the league on PAT’s.

Unless he is 100% and far improved on the PATs/short FG's, he won't be the kicker here next year. They already signed one guy to compete during the offseason with him and it wouldn't be a total shock to me if they actually use a late rd draft pick on a kicker either.

He was given the job last season without any competition, and coming off of an injury.

So I wouldn’t put anything past this coaching/ front office group when it comes to their pet cats.
