How bad is the passing game right now?

8 different guys caught passes today, only two of them managed to average more than 10 yds per reception. (and both them were BARELY above 10 yds). One of the two was 4th string TE Jeremy Sprinkle, the other was Gallup.

Tony Pollard had a decent day, but reading Zoners you would think he is the 2nd coming of Eric Dickerson or something.

These are Pollard's carries today:

1st half (really good with 7 rushes for 59 yds) 8, 4, 17, 2, 7, 9, 12
2nd half (OL shit show sets in, he gets 5 carries for 15yds) -2, 1, 12, 3, 1,

Elliott had 42 of his 52 yards in the first half.

So after Pollard and Zeke combined for 101 yards in the first half, they managed a paltry 25 in the 2nd half.

Ravens looked like they were toast down 31-17, now 12 yards away from tying game.

Or potentially going for 2 to take the lead. Was it them or someone else that did that a few weeks ago?

And yeah, bypassing that sure 3 on opening drive to go on 4th and goal from around the 3 yd line cost them.

I think it was the Ravens. I don't like that call at all in that situation. You basically lost your second game going for two instead of a tie and OT. And to go for two with a back-up QB when your team fought hard to tie the game is inexcusable. It's magnified by the fact that the Ravens are also in the playoff hunt. Just awful, IMO.

Yep. Converting there wouldn't have guaranteed a win, either. 40 seconds is an eternity for guys like Rodgers. Play for OT and hope for the best.

You've got to give it to the Saints tonight. No matter what happens the rest of the game the fact that they've held Tampa scoreless this long is nothing short of amazing.

And Gallup only had one catch and just three targets after the first drive of the game.

With Tampa losing, we are now the 2nd seed.

Unfortunately they may not stay there even if they win out. If we end up in a 2-way tie with TB we'd lose that, but any 3 or 4 way tie we win regardless of the other teams, assuming we win out.
