I do that to a lot of them, not necessarily to stick it to Facebook but just because half that crap is nothing I need, and only shows up there because I'm searching shit that either my wife has trouble finding or ties into my daughter's homework...

I just turned the ads off altogether so I no longer see any adds for anything

Go to FB, then your profile, then click the three dots to the right the blue button that says “add story”, then view privacy short cuts, then scroll way down to Ad Preferences, then click on “see your ad settings”, then “data about your activity from partners”, then scroll down just a little bit and you will see a slider bar that says “use data from partners”

THEN....
Click on that fucker! The slider will turn from blue to white to show you that it turned it off

Like I said, it’s not very intuitive on how to find it or get there to turn off this damn thing

thx, apparently I already had it off but still get ads

Weird

That’s what worked for me. Maybe I already had something else turned off too and the combo of them both is what did the trick

If you poke around in the advertisement areas there are a bunch of shit you can turn off

Why not just cancel your Fakebook account? That method is 100% guaranteed to ensure you no longer see any of their ads. They sell to advertisers based on the traffic they generate. If cancel Fakebook they will get no traffic from you. Same goes for Twitter.

I'm giving this serious consideration.
