Provided we don't go RB by committee and we get a draft pick and feed him 20 carries a game.

I would agree based on there offense

I cant tell you how happy I am that we just lost an 1800 yard back.

I love Murray and what he brought to the table but I love even more that this team finally made a good business decision

I'm really shocked at how this team has turned into a shrewd operation. You couldn't have any more of a 180 from the way Jerry did business from 1996 - 2012.

It depends on what we do to replace him.

Joseph Randle isn't outgaining Murray. 3rd round "sleeper" from Northern Iowa isn't outgaining Murray.

I think Gurley is the only chance of having a real RB that can help carry this offense. I wanted Murray gone and bring in some young blood anyway.

I liked Murray and wanted him back but I think the Cowboys did the right thing. He is a good back, but I have faith that the O-line will give a new back those same opportunities. Strange to see the Cowboys not throwing around money trying to create a winner. Not a bad day to be a Cowboys fan.

My problem with Murray was his lack of vision and he ran to contact leaving alotta yards on the field. Add the fumble problem, and it ruined my opinion of him. After reading a few Eagle forums, they don't want Murry at all.

The thing that pissed me off about Murray was his fumble in the Packer game. I wish he had break away speed but by far he had more positives than he did negatives. Guy was an all around back in the prime of his career. A rare horse you can ride the whole game. Nimble and knows how to follow his blockers. Lowers his pads and finishes the runs. Knows his assignments, blocks was a leader on the team and someone Romo trusted in the backfield. Not to mention he has great hands! Philly got a great player. Guy is also a class act. I will miss him. Doesnt feel right that he is in Philly.

There won't be a 400 carry RB. With a healthier Romo, they won't be nearly as concerned about running the ball no matter who the RBs on the roster are.

You don't know that. Murray will be splitting carries 3 ways and IMO is probably playing on a team that will be behind a lot, in addition to not possessing the ball that long anyway even if they are ahead.

I was as big a Murray fan as there was here, but I was never on board with paying him what Philly did at this stage to keep him. Too many good potential backs in the draft and if Randle actually has his head on straight, he COULD post pretty significant numbers here next yr if he ended up being the lead back.

I bet there's a half dozen RB's in this draft that could come in here and be pretty productive with our offense.

Remember Murray was a 3rd rd pick himself.

He accomplished all of this in a contract year. The first time in his career that he's been healthy ad played a full season, all while playing behind arguably the best OL in the league. Coincidence? Methinks not.

He's gone to a team with a lesser offense, lesser QB, lesser OL, lesser TEs, and lesser WRs.

That sleeper may be a better fit at H-Back. Have you seen him? He has chicken legs.

Philly has to cut Chris Polk now... they can't carry Murray, Matthews, Sproles and Polk. Doubt Sproles goes anywhere. I'd take Polk though. He's better than what we have now IMO.
