I bet there's a half dozen RB's in this draft that could come in here and be pretty productive with our offense.

Remember Murray was a 3rd rd pick himself.

Yeah, I think Gurley can carry the workload and has more ability than Murray. I don't like RB by committee. A good RB needs to get in the flow of the game and needs 20 carries or so to get the most production. The running game is what this team was built for and a top talent like Gurley is a step up from these "good" RBs IMO. Gurley can have a great career instead of a good career. If his knee checks out, he would be s steal at 27. I know that my thinking is kinda old school, but so is this oline the Cowboys have put together. A great back could break all kinds of records with this line and keep the defense off the field. I really don't see a defensive player at 27 that is going to have much impact at all in that draft range.

He accomplished all of this in a contract year. The first time in his career that he's been healthy ad played a full season, all while playing behind arguably the best OL in the league. Coincidence? Methinks not.

He's gone to a team with a lesser offense, lesser QB, lesser OL, lesser TEs, and lesser WRs.

I think his workload this year will show up next year and Murray's production is going to drop . Injuries will be a problem too.
