Ratliff was a 7th rounder.

Ratliff also gets duis, steals money from the owner, fights the owner, and plays 33% of the games and still has a job. Clearly, he's the exception.

He's just amazing. Can't argue against it

You were saying Hannah can't be that good because he was a 6th rounder and I was just pointing out that Ratliff was a 7th rounder and was one of the best DTs in the league for several years. It has nothing to do with where his career is now.

Dblair says nothing will make me happy. Couldn't be further from the truth

I posted a thread giving you an opportunity to state what would have made you happy, instead you pulled a Sulu troll and ignored the chance.

Sure it does. You're nt listening. He's an exception. That's why he's a stud and was drafted in rd 7. I then proceeded to give you a multitude of reasons to further my point.

Hanna is not an exception. Escobar will be a beast. And everlastingbean will be full of pride

I tell you what, i like the first 3 draft picks. I think they all will be good players. The slow fat white boy. The pretty boy hispanic and the big dick black boy. The others after them, not so much. BTW, i am not gay but not against any DCU members from coming out of the closet.

What's your point? Where someone is drafted has no effect on their personality and what they do towards the end of their career. Hannah could turn out to be a stud. There a plenty of examples of palyers drafted in the 6th and 7th rounds or not even drafted at all who turn into be great players. Romo wasn't drafted, if I'm not mistaken.

I would have liked to stick BPA for our positions.

Shariff Floyd at 18 or slyvester wiliams
Travis Fredrick or Brian Scwnke in the second
Brian Winters in the 3rd

I doubt anyone is going to be sulking when Escobar is catching TDs in the red zone.

Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? You complain about other posters calling you a homer, then you do this.

I don't think you're a homer who rubber stamps everything. On the other hand, don't argue that the people who didn't like the Escobar pick are always going to be negative.

I don't start these things and I don't go after people calling them realists or the crap that is flung at me repeatedly forcing me to explain and over explain my positions to which I get responses like your a jocker, homer, get your opinions from jerry etc....

Like I said, those that want to bitch will continue doing that no matter what.

for instance the other day bkeavs posted where mayock had Frederick in the top 100 by posting the top 100 and saying we blew it.

yet at the zone someone did a nice compilation of every teams picks and it turns out we are one of only 3 teams to have 5 players in mayocks top 100. I didn't post it and throw it out there like here take that.

and its because I don't care what mayock, kiper or mcshay have to say....we could have a great or a terrible draft according to them. Same with werder.

as Brad Sham said sunday night on the score, Kiper's title is Colorer of books. Those opinions mean nothing.

in 2009 Norm had goose on and goose told him that when he visits with the eagles and giants front offices in draft preparation they all view Dallas as a joke and laugh at our team..........first off, whatever. Secondly I bet they were not saying that when we won the division in 07 and 09....well maybe the giants were.....

anyway. The homer realist thing I find boring, its a simpleton conversation tactic and it is used all the time to people on both sides.

Mike Fisher just tweeted this. Seems like he agrees with me.

@fishsports 1m Forget Escobar vs. Witten. Rookie TEs will be challenged enuf trying to take #Cowboys snaps away from @JamesHanna84

Broaddus was basically saying the same thing the other day, that from what he had heard the coaches liked Hanna and he seemed ready to get alot more reps.

Mad respect Sulu, but this should be placed in the corect thread along with making picks for all selections.

Thanks

Broaddus has no idea what he's talking about.

I don't think coaches even talk to him.

I would agree if I thought people here were just bitching for the sake of bitching. There are a lot of negative posts on this forum, but I don't think there's anyone here who roots for Escobar to be a failure so they will be proven correct in their analysis. I think we all root for the Cowboys, and I think we'll all be happy if he does well.

Personally, I feel like he HAS to do well, or it makes the mistake of drafting him even worse. I'm not interested in seeing this team suck year after year.

But the fact is that generally we have sucked for the past decade. It's not a crime to point that out and complain when we do the same things we have done in the past.

I have pointed it out many times myself...in detail.

amen to that.

Escobar will be out there day 1, just like spencer will be and Durant. Broaddus said spencer had no chance to be back and we would not sign any free agents because the money situation was so bad.

btw, Tyson clabo is visiting with Miami today.
