@SullyBaldHead
There are talks of not only bringing in an offensive coordinator, but a consultant, much in the way Dan Reeves was supposed to be in 2009.
I'm with you but I see it as a PR stunt for Jerry to the fans that he's not going to tolerate complacency
Garrett was the highest paid OC in history because he was supposedly a genius offensive playcaller. Now we want him to be a leader of men and bring in a less than genius to call the plays.
Even Snyder had the balls to can Cerrato, Zorn, et al and turn it over to a real HC and pro staff. The fucking redskins are even on their way now. No quality coach is just going to come in and hold Garrett's hand.
I guess most Dallas fans are stupid enough to get excited about moves like this, so the cash will keep flowing and that's all Jerry cares about.
side note people are getting way too excited about the skins sneaking into the playoffs like this is proof they're on the right track and we should be imitating them.
A year ago we thought the Lions were poised to be a powerhouse, every year we see this stuff. Lets not kneejerk and believe they are some model franchise now.
Snyder is an idiot so def wouldnt want him here, but he is also a true fan of the team and actually took it personally each time they lost.
Jerry is a pure snake oil salesman but he has the perfect gullible customers. Ironically, Dallas fans mocked Zorn so much and yet profusely defend Garrett. Those are the kinds of people you can openly rob. Well played, Jerry.
Snyder did that for years though. Cerrato was a bad GM but he had come up through the ranks with SF. He hired real head coaches like Schottenheimer and Gibbs and it consistently failed. I don't think he's changed at all he just finally made a few right moves.
They win the east one year when the east is TERRIBLE and suddenly we're all very impressed and jealous?
