Will we make a trade?

Felix, Jenkins, Spears could all be shopped.

Jerry will say something like " We didn't feel anyone out there was better than the guys we already have on our roster."

Doubtful we'll do anything.

Even if we wanted to shop someone like Felix, he's injured right now so his value would be even lower than you'd expect.

I think a tell-tale sign is if someone like Marcus Spears or Mike Jenkins is inactive. But no way would I expect Jenkins to be inactive for this game.

If Dallas hits 3-5, I'd be totally okay with shopping a ton of players.

Felix
Jenkins
Spears - I actually like him but he is what he is. Hard worker who makes the occasional play.
Ogletree
Spencer

Accumulate picks so you can bundle and move up for young guys with talent and ability to help. Quit hanging on to players who have no future in Dallas.

^this would be the smart thing to do.

Too bad we don't have smart on our side.

I can't see Jerry admitting we are out of contention and that's what those moves would signal. Plus, the average fan doesn't get that this is better for the franchise. They would see it as quitting.

Problem is we could only be 3-4 by the trade deadline.

Jerry will still be selling Championship with this current group to the masses.

Let the Steven Jackson trade rumors swirl

October, 28, 2012
By Mike Sando | ESPN.com

The approaching NFL trade deadline naturally revives questions about Steven Jackson's future with the St. Louis Rams.

Jackson That was going to be the case, no matter what, when both parties agreed to let Jackson opt out of his contract following the 2012 season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter says the Rams have "fielded trade inquiries" recently. He lists Arizona, Green Bay, Dallas and Pittsburgh as teams with needs at the position.

"Green Bay, in particular, has coveted Jackson in the past," Schefter notes.

I doubt the Rams would trade Jackson to a division rival such as the Cardinals. Arizona has already invested quite a bit in the position. Beanie Wells is scheduled to return from injured reserve Nov. 25. LaRod Stephens-Howling just topped 100 yards rushing at Minnesota.

Jackson would be a natural fit in New England for multiple reasons if he became a free agent after the season.

Predicting trades is more difficult to do.

Any team acquiring Jackson would most likely absorb more than $3 million in remaining salary for the 2012 season. I don't think the Rams would trade Jackson, who has been the heart and conscience of their team, for little in return. He still has value to them.

Further, how many teams would be willing to give the Rams fair value when Jackson has the ability to become a free agent after the season? The acquiring team could re-work the contract, but how many teams would commit meaningful resources to a 29-year-old running back?

It just takes one team to make a deal, of course. And that keeps alive the possibilities in our minds.

But until we hear about a specific offer from a specific team, that's all we have -- possibilities.

If Jenkins is inactive today then we have the dumbest front office and coaching staff in the history of football.

Why would we keep him if we are not going to use him against the best team in the league and one of the best passing games.

I doubt this team does anything......which is probably good. When was the last time Dallas came out on the good side of a player trade?

I'd move Jenkins or Felix, but I expect the team to stand pat.

Nobody overvalues their talent more than the Dallas.

We could use extra picks next year, I would move Jenkins and Felix this week regardless of whether or not we win today. It shouldn't have any bearing on those two players. When Murray returns he can share the load with tanner/ Dunbar. Even if we have to play Atlanta without Felix.

Same for jenkins. I would move him to the highest pick u can get or a player who can be used down the road.

I would have too......I just don't think they will.

Dallas tends to hold onto players until they have no value what so ever.

Pretty sure they already said he'll be active and play extensively.

I suspect we may see quite a bit of this Carr at FS thing on passing downs again today, with Jenkins and Claiborne outside.

I love how everyone says trade this player and that player for draft picks.... as if we have a general manger with a clue with what to do with them.

lol we could have moved Felix Jones long ago. Fuck. Now that is all gone that each potential trading partner has seen him screw up multiple times.

Who is going to want that bumble-fuck now?
