That's dead last in the league.

Cleveland, IIRC, has scored 66 points.

League average is 94.

New Orleans has scored 149.

Stephen McGee played against the eagles.

Two of the other three were against the giants.

This is an odd way to say Garrett sucks, but everyday there is a new way so I am not Suprised.

That's a bad number, but I don't find it alarming, truthfully.

Mostly for the reasons Theebs mentioned

I'm not ready to replace Garrett, but I'm definitely unimpressed with his offense.

He needs to hire a play caller.

IF nothing else so he has one more person to blame.

In some aspects, yes.

It wasnt a great performance, but after the first quarter or so it was pretty solid. We scored on 4 straight drives against them at one point, and all of them were long drives. The last 5 drives were all at least 7 plays each, and we were able to get a huge first down to ice the win in our final drive.

24 pts, 433 total yds with Romo going over 300 and Murray rushing for 130+ is pretty good. We also held the ball for over 34 mins. I'd take that and run with it every week.

I don't have the stats in front of me so I could be wrong, but it seems like we almost always suck in the first quarter. Takes us forever to get going.

The last time we scored in the first quarter was vs the Bucs in week 14 last year (two tds). We scored 28 in the first half that night.

We scored a TD in the first quarter the week before then as well (vs NYG) but the prior week vs Arizona we were held scoreless.

So in the last 7 games, we've been shutout in the first quarter 5 times.

I agree with what you're saying, db. They played a solid game; I didn't post to trash Garrett. I like him. He's a Cowboy, not just some guy hired to coach the team. But to my way of thinking, his offense should be solid against a team with the DBacks NY trotted out there. And maybe the Seattle defense is underrated, and, yes, the Seahawks are a different team at home, but John Skelton and Kevin frigging Kolb put 20 points on them behind the worst OL in football.

But it goes further than that for me. A lot of the success of the Dallas offense, as seen from my untrained view, comes from the creativity of Tony Romo. Tony's in the pocket. Nobody's open. Pressure comes. Tony avoids it and finds a receiver who's shaken free. How many times does Romo hit the last step of his drop and sling the ball on-time to an open receiver?

I'm just not impressed.

Jesus Christ. That's totally unacceptable. Only a crappy Tampa team made those numbers look better than they really are.

Maybe itd be a douchey college guy move but it'd run a little no contact scrimmage before the game to get them more prepared for the 1st Q

It might be even worse Iif I go further back.

For whatever reason, this team just sleepwalks through first quarters of most games.

Exact opposite of the Jimmy Cowboys, even the old Landry Cowboys. We jumped on people early.

Stephen McGee played against the eagles.

So I give Dallas a mulligan for having to play McGee but don't give Cleveland or about 10 other teams a mulligan for starting a QB of similar caliber?

Two of the other three were against the giants.

I don't think it's odd at all. The guy has more talent than the majority of the league and can't score.

Horrible. Offense is getting worse by the minute. There's at least two or three guys who should be benched, and one of them is a guy who's headed to the Hallf of Fame.

I'm giving Witten a pass. This week.

Jerry and Garrett better wise up and prioritize, or they will watch Romo's career end a lot sooner than they expect.

And 10 of those points were due to Tampa incompetence (INT that goes thru RB's hands; muffed punt).

No shit.

Get the ball at the 6 yard line and come away with 3 points?

Yeah, that's the process.
