Sam isn't on anyone's 53 or practice squad. He's fair game to bring in to either.

We were talking about Vaughn being cut, and you were concerned another team would pick him up and put him on their PS. They would have to put him on the 53 to prevent us from putting him on our PS. If it was our PS vs. someone else's PS, then he would have the choice, but he took less to come here than others were offering, so that wasn't a real threat.

Players only have to be signed to the 53 when they're claimed off another team's practice squad.
