That was pretty dominating defense the Seahags played last night. 11 sacks, 3 turnovers (all by Danny Dimes) 4 different guys who had 2 sacks each, incl the rookie CB who also had a 97 yd pick 6. Kid also had a couple of blowup hits tackling.

For comparison, our team has a TOTAL of 14 sacks in 4 games.

Essentially we are 1/4 through the season now (and would be if not for ridiculous change to 17 game season)

BOLD indicates league leader

Here are some Cowboy stat numbers, will start with defense:

Scoring defense: 1st, 10.3
Total defense: 2nd, 259.8 yds
Passing defense: 2nd, 148.0
Interceptions: 2nd with 7
Passing tds allowed: 1st, 2
Opponents passer rating: 1st, 55.2

Missed tackles: 1st, only 9 (yes only NINE)
Turnover ratio: 1st, +9

3rd down conversion %: 4th, 30.6%

On the negative side, our rushing defense ranks pretty poor (mostly due to Cards game and a lot of QB scrambles). The pass rush numbers are definitely concerning and have been trending down since the week one game v NYG.

Rushing defense: 16th, 111.8

QB pressures (total), 23rd (tied)
QB pressure (5), 12th, 24.1%

Now onto offense:

On the negative side:

Yds per rush: 23rd, 4.1
Passing tds: (30th, tied with many), 4
Passing yds per attempt: 23rd, 6.7
Rushing tds, 6th (tied with many) 4
Redzone TD %, 30th, 36.8%

I would assume if he doesn't play SNF v Niners then there's absolutely no reason to play him vs Chargers the following week either, and give him the bye week to hopefully get right.

Obviously something was more wrong with his knee than they originally said. McCarthy said yesterday Tyron was doing better, but then Jones seems to dispel that with these comments.

Just think if our team was as indestructible as Jerry's liver and kidneys.

That last play was the one I was referring to in the other thread, it looks like an easy TD for Pollard if they don't run into each other. They obviously arn't going to run into each other often (if ever again) so while it sux for that play, I think the more important piece of it is how good the blocking was. They opened a gaping hole there.
