Jerry has to be quite aware that he's running out of time with Romo and life in general.

Can't keep spinning wheels in the mud with Ginger. This man fired Gailey after a playoff season. I wanna see that same urgency.

IRVING

Injuries will test the Cowboys’ linebacker depth this week as all three of their starters on the injury report as either out or questionable.

The Cowboys ruled weakside linebacker Sean Lee out of Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers with a concussion. Lee left the Oct. 4 against New Orleans with a concussion.

He has yet to be cleared from the league’s concussion protocol. It is just the latest injury setback for Lee.

In six seasons, he has never played all 16 games. This will mark the 35th game he has missed in his career.

Strongside linebacker Anthony Hitchens (ankle) returned to practice Friday on a limited basis, and the Cowboys list him as questionable.

The team added a foot injury to middle linebacker Rolando McClain’s hand injury, and he, too, is questionable. McClain missed Friday’s practice after being limited Wednesday and a full participant Thursday.

The Cowboys’ backup linebackers are Kyle Wilber, Andrew Gachkar and rookie Damien Wilson.

Receiver Brice Butler (hamstring) will miss his third consecutive game and four of the past five. Starting nose tackle Nick Hayden (both ankles) is questionable after being limited Friday, his first day of practice this week.

The other 10 players on the Cowboys’ injury report are probable, including safety Barry Church (ankle) and receiver Dez Bryant (foot/knee).

Smith has some pop. I can't understand why Dallas drafted a developmental player like Nzeocha when he's not really carrying impact skills or huge upside. He's not even that experienced in football. This is like Matt Johnson syndrome. Just senslessly hanging on to player who should not have been drafted and needs a true impact player to replace his roster spot and resolve the weakness at that position.

Did the same to Wade. After a playoff winning season, in fact.

Lousy talent eval. You don't draft a guy in the 4th round and then stuff him on the PS. That's a fail right there.

Season on the line tomorrow. Lose and season is almost assuredly over. Win and there is a slight glimmer of hope that we could somehow wiggle our way back into the race once Romo returns next week. None of the teams in this division are very good, amd if Romo would have played all 8 games we'd probably be 6-2 or 7-1 right now and running away with the division.

That said, I firmly expect Team Underachievement to lose tomorrow and ruin the season.

Hard to tell, with the D as bad as it has been especially the secondary. Romo means teams know they're likely going to need 30, so they're more aggressive on offense. No Romo means the opponent just rope-a-dopes, plays ultra conservatively, limits turnovers and mistakes, then at the end just gets what it needs.

You're more likely 4-4 or 5-3 at this point, with Tony. When are people going to wake up and realize this is simply just not a very good team? It's in the top five of the 20 or so annually mediocre ones, at best. Last year was a fluke, not a trend of even the start of a trend. The trend is 8-8 because that is what we are.

So is there a thought McClain seriously might not play?

Not that it would be that big a loss the way he's played lately. Guy is a bum. A very talented bum, but a bum nonetheless.

I'd rather lose. Lose out. I doubt still Garrett gets fired, but... one can dream.

He's played so bad that he should be benched, maybe even just outright released

McClain is active. Bucs missing two key offensive skill guys so that should help, but we suck so it might not.

Cowboys: LB Sean Lee, WR Brice Butler, CB Corey White, RB Trey Williams, G Ron Leary, TE Geoff Swaim, DE Ryan Russell

Buccaneers: WR Vincent Jackson, G Ali Marpet, DE Jacquies Smith, QB Ryan Griffin, S Major Wright, S D.J. Swearinger, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins

TAMPA, Fla. -- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain went through a pregame workout to test his aching foot and is active for today’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but the linebacker corps could be a mix-and-match group.

While McClain, who also has a hand injury, is active, it is not clear how much he will play or how long he can play. Last year against the Jacksonville Jaguars he was active for the game but did not play a snap.

Linebacker Anthony Hitchens (ankle) is also active. He had been questionable but was able to practice Friday. Andrew Gachkar could see a lot of action as the game goes on. Keith Smith, who was called up from the practice squad on Saturday, is active.

The Cowboys will be without Sean Lee, who is recovering from his second concussion in five weeks. Lee made the trip to Tampa and will be on the sideline.
