been w/ the team over 20 years in some capacity.. been doing his current job for about 7 years.. he's had wayyyy more draft hits than draft busts. definitely going to be tough to replace his success. i dont think he is a god or anything either, but will mcclay's do not grow on trees.
Yep, he's been really good for us. Would be a shame to see him go.

Supposedly he really loves it in Dallas and always speaks glowingly of working for the Jones', and we know he's paid extremely well. Hopefully Jerruh can fork over some more $$$$ ad maybe even a little more control if it comes to that so he remains here.

Apparently it isnt just Dan Quinn teams want off our coaching staff.

This is another comment that to me, makes it seem like McCarthy has to advance in these playoffs or he may not be here next year. With us having potential HFA for two games and being undefeated (and pretty overwhelming) at home this yr, if we can't get to the NFC Champ now with that set up then he probably doesn't have the right coaches in place.

He's also in a job where he almost can't fail since Jerry's the GM. And I'd bet he gets paid well to boot. Sometimes people have to go to see what's on the other side and realize the grass isn't geener.

Wonder what the odds are he could leave and run his own show, and still make it to a Super Bowl before Jerry and Spawn.

Dak played like gangbusters against TB last year with a 143 QB rating and then laid an egg against SF throwing for 206 yards and 63 QB rating the following week. Would anyone be surprised if we saw the same thing? I'd bet our posts from last years playoff games were very similar to what we're posting now. But someone here thinks Dak has busted out and the critics are "hollow." I get an eerily feeling like I've been here before.......

MM has done a real good job and for the first time it doesn't feel like the wheels will fall off if we're missing a player(s). That's something we saw a ton of in the past with scrubs like Garrett. MM is not without his criticisms but he's done a darn good job. He'll be another casualty of our QB if he lays an egg (again). And if that happens, we'll wash, rinse and repeat the season all over again next year.

Not with the teams mentioned (Washington and Carolina). Anyone who takes a job there is just looking for a career ending job and I'd have no sympathy for them.

Ultimately no I guess I wouldnt be surprised. Though I think the odds of Prescott being as good against Green Bay this weekend as he was last yr v Tampa are lower too. I think Green Bay may present some match up problems for us on both sides of the ball, and Tampa had no interest in playing last year.

That said, the other difference is Prescott went into the playoffs playing poorly. He was awful vs Tennessee and was even more dreadful v Washington a week later. The Buffalo game was not all that goof for him but the defense really lost that game by checking out v the run, and he bounced back with good games after that.

I'd say I am cautiously optimistic about how Prescott and the offense will play. But we've all seen this act a few times before. Time for him and the rest of them to deliver when it counts most.

I cant imagine any scenario where he'd go to Carolina. I'll be surprised if he actually even interviews with them.

Probably his last games here I would think. He's gonna get a pretty good deal to play elsewhere next year. Really underrated and also a quality special teamer.

If Quinn leaves, won't surprise me if he follows him.
