The possible bombshell evidence came in the form of NFL lead investigator Kia Roberts. Roberts recommended no suspension for Elliott following her interviews with Thompson during the investigation _ a fact she testified to during the appeals hearing with Henderson, according to a source.

No surprise. Women know when other women are lying. It's pretty shocking that he got six when one investigator didn't even think he merited one.

Thats gonna exacerbate the conspiracy theories that claim the Giants/Mara are manipulating the system to punish the Cowboys

Yeah, I mean how can it not? What possible other motivation could there be for something THIS so blatantly corrupt?

Goodell should be forced to resign and this Friel woman-kunt should be fired immediately.

I don't see how anyone, even people who hate the Cowboys or owners/players of other teams cant be outraged by this. I really don't.

Sure teams would be happy to not have to have Zeke running the ball against them. But the players and even owners of other teams cant look at this and the way it was handled and think this is good for their league. This is honestly the most corrupt thing I've ever seen in the NFL.

This is like WWF the fix is in type garbage. Makes the whole league look like a fucking joke.

I think its deeper and more complex than just mere Cowboy hate from the parties involved. Sure, on some subconscious level, if Friel is an avid Giant fan and Cowboy hater, then those feelings may effect how she interprets things as they pertain to the Cowboys but I doubt its enough for her to blatantly railroad an innocent person just because he's a Cowboy. I think its more to do with games attorneys play, the gutless NFL being too cowardly to stand against hysteria, concern over appearance, etc, etc

I've long believed Friel has been encouraging Goodell to do something like this to "make a statement" and gain political points with the extreme feminist left, left leaning media and also the hope that doing something like this would increase viewership among women in general.

That said, with all the stuff that is coming out it's pretty apparent there was more to it than just this. if Elliott were a Tampa Bay Buccaneer or a Denver Bronco this shit would have been shut down and done before Thanksgiving last year.

You wait and see, the Cowboys will probably have a league record for holding penalties this year if Elliott somehow beats this and gets to play all 16 games.

Did the league really believe this crap wouldn't come out?

Good grief this is sickening.

The media should be all over Goodell and his garbage league office tomorrow and all throughout the weekend.

Look at Donte Fowler as an example. This idiot kicked the hell out of some guy for criticizing his driving and we haven't heard one peep about a possible suspension for him.

It is little wonder that ESPN’s Adam Shefter reported Thursday that Henderson is being pressured into making a decision by Monday and that a reduction is likely.

Fuck a reduction. Total absolution. Period.

And then there's this advisory board:

Goodell’s decision was aided by a four-member advisory committee, including Peter Harvey, former attorney general of New Jersey; Ken Houston, a Hall of Fame player; Tonya Lovelace, chief executive of the Women of Color Network Inc.; and Mary Jo White, former U.S. attorney and former chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The former AG from New Jersey... of course he's not a Giants' fan. But the rest... what the fuck are their qualifications?

NFLPA requests restraining order to block any suspension of Ezekiel Elliott

The NFLPA filed a request for a temporary restraining order in the Eastern District of Texas, calling for the courts to block any suspension of Ezekiel Elliott upheld by NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson, according to a court filing obtained by ESPN.

The NFLPA filing calls for the court to vacate any suspension of Elliott, accusing the league's appeal process of being "fundamentally unfair" and citing new facts revealed during this week's hearing that wrapped up Thursday.

The NFL's director of investigations testified in the hearing on the appeal of Ezekiel Elliott's six-game suspension on Tuesday that she would not have recommended discipline for the Cowboys running back based on what she found, a source told ESPN.

The NFL had no comment on the filing.

If Henderson rules that Elliott remains suspended for any stretch of games, the court then can decide to stay the suspension while it reviews the matter, and Elliott could potentially be allowed to play while the case works its way through the courts.

In the filing, the NFLPA alleges "there was a League-orchestrated conspiracy by senior NFL executives .... to hide critical information -- which would completely exonerate Elliott."

"During the course of the past 13 months and culminating in the last three days of the appeal process, we have witnessed some of the most egregious violations of legal due process in connection with the NFL's investigation of Mr. Elliott," read a statement from Elliott's attorneys Frank Salzano and Scott Rosenblum. "Not only did the underlying facts not support the false allegations made against Mr. Elliott, but the process in which they were gathered and adjudicated were fundamentally unfair. Mr. Elliott looks forward to being completely vindicated and will continue to explore all other legal options to redress the reputational and monetary harm that he has suffered."

According to the filing, Kia Wright Roberts, the NFL's director of investigations, testified Tuesday that she was the only NFL employee who interviewed the running back's accuser, Tiffany Thompson, during the investigation and that she would not have recommended discipline for Elliott based on what she found.

NFLPA contends Kia Roberts told Lisa Friel of her views, but was not allowed to convey them to Roger Goodell nor the "independent advisors."
