Said from day one that to re-up McClain was retarded. He wasn't that impactful for us ever. You could count maybe one or 2 times where he truly impacted the outcome of a game here.

Not cataclysmic.

Not worth the trouble. Don't give a shit about how hard he hits.

Just like I blamed Hostile for being so outspokenly in favor of the trade for Roy Williams...cmd, you suck!

wat?! That guy will cheer lead anything. I hated that fucking trade with a passion (in retrospect that is, I was hopeful when it happened but stunned when they announced his contract was signed before he had even played a down for the cowboys)

How in the hell can they be that wrong about a player who's been in the league for as long as he had? I understand being wrong about a rookie but to give the contract he got and the picks they gave up took about any trust I had in the front office and punted it.

Same here. I was bewildered that we restructured his contract without him ever playing a down for us. I was very outspoken on CZ regarding that move.

Bob is right, I liked McClain when he got here in 2014. This defense is soft as baby shit and he was out there popping people. I felt it inspired some of the resident pussies on defense to play harder. His impact on defense and the offense's ability to control the clock made a horrible unit almost watchable.

I love his athleticism and I'll still wonder if a real coach or a real environment of leadership could have shaped him up. Unfortunately, with Jerry's Country Club/Funhouse, it's never going to happen here. This teams doesn't have the leadership structure to keep giving the league's wayward sons a second and third chance.

Jerry's country club where he can be friends with all the players and a limp dick for a coach isnt ideal for that as you say.

If it were possible to get anything out of McClain, I bet Baltimore's organization could have. When Ozzie gives you away for a ham sandwich, you're probably hopeless.

Of course they weren't willing to let him come and go as he pleased. And of course Jerry was.

McClain has been a no show most of his time in Dallas. The pom pom wavers and chest thumpers failed to notice.

Probable opening day starting defense:

DE Jack Crawford
DE Ryan Russell
DT Cedric Thornton
DT Tyrone Crawford
SLB Kyle Wilber
MLB Anthony Hitchens
WLB Sean Lee
CB Brandon Carr
CB Orlando Scandrick
S Barry Church
S Byron Jones

I doubt there is a worse unit in the NFL.

My god that is scary not for cowboys opponents but for cowboys fans.

We don't even stand a chance at going our usual 8-8 with that bunch!

We are going to have to score over 40 points a game every game

And we all know that's not an option

I smell a shit show this coming season. I'm guessing that Zeke is the only semi bright spot to come out of the entire season. (If we are lucky and he actually pans out to be worth the pick)

Jerry said that going into the 2014 season that this team is going to have to score a lot of point s to help the defense. But historically Jason's offense can't score, has real trouble with short yardage and especially red zone (unless they have MB3 in 2009 and Murray in 2014). Most of their typical Coryell weaknesses happen unless they abandon the Coryell hunger to throw deep and just manage the chains and a pounding run game. When that happens like in 2007, 2009 and 2014, the offense averages over 3 TDs a game. When they don't manage the chains, the offense averages only 2.4. TDs a game.

It's not like Dallas is intentionally not scoring at will. They have a terrible offensive scheme that gets barely held together with Romo Gorilla glue.

Nzeocha might be SLB instead of Kyle "Master of None" Wilber. Kind of thinking he might sprout this year or at least start to Germinate.

So if you tally, I see 5, Count em, 5 good players on defense and that's it.

Wilber knows the system so I could see them going with him now that McClain will spending 10 games with his kids.
