What was Mincey referring to here?

"You're talking about a team that was so close-knit and tight. And then it changed." -Cowboys DE Jeremy Mincey on Sports Sunday at 10:20.

Was it the Hardy addition? Did losing Murray have significant impact on chemistry/morale? Do we need Josh Brent to kill another player to re-unite the team? Is there something I'm missing?

didn't he take a shot at younger players on the team just a few weeks ago? since Garrett is such a milquetoast personality, it wouldn't surprise me if certain guys do as they please.

If you read between the lines of some of Aikman's recent interviews you will find him hinting at this very thing.

Wouldn't surprise me. We have no team builders on this club.

Romo only hangs out with Witten and whatever scrub, white player. Dez is too busy primping on Facebook.

We have no other players; or coaches for that matter, who are the glue holding everything in the lockerroom together.

Then of course, anyone can fly above all that and reach Jerry directly.

Also, wouldn't surprise me the special treatment Hardy got ie reserved parking space and the coddling has rankled some of the veterans. You know Witten can't stand having him on the team.

The rookies probably want to have a "safe zone" for when they get their feelings hurt... or maybe they'll pull a bullshit protest just like the Missouri football players did. I hope Missouri loses every game in every sport from now on for that whole incident

He was talking about Hardy.

In another article there's a Mincey quote that says "it would be hard to bring him back here"

Mincey was PART of the problem so I have hard time slurping up everything he says.

Haley certainly caused a lot more problems here then Hardy could probably dream of. Look at Hollywood with Landry; and some of the others that have been around. Irvin was a nightmare a lot of the time (remember the scissors incident?)

But it does look like there is a lack of locker room leadership. And once again that points the finger at management and coaching for not finding them.

BP had a habit of trying to draft college team captains as much as he could, figuring that some leadership was inevitable that way. We should do that as well make being a college team captain a more important check box

I don't recommend watching that clip mid posted... Mincey is painful to listen to. But he definitely meant Hardy.

I just can't believe the guy Jacksonville sent packing for caring more about his rap career than football is some kind of leadership spokesman on this team. Makes me think even more that last year wasn't a case of everything being done right, it was more everything breaking right.

Wasn't Hardy the guy that called out one of the players for slacking during training camp?

I think so. He also called out the special teams for suckage too. Can't hold people accountable around here. That is "wrong kinda guy" stuff right there and has no business in the process!
