It doesn't seem like the completely trust the Kurds for some reason. I have no idea why, but this seemed like a logical answer.

I really think they believed if we did all this heavy lifting with the Israeli's that the Iranian people would take matters into their own hands and overthrow the government. Trump was practically egging them on to do it the first few days of the bombings. For whatever reason they didn't grab the bull by the reigns.
