Bengals continue to take chances on kids. They picked up my daughter's best friend's cousin, Jordan Campbell. Former USC kid, always in trouble. He's from the same area as Vontaze Burfict.

This is one of the problems the Bengals seem to have. Their coaches can't just focus on coaching football. They also have to run a social services clinic everytime the locker room is opened up.

At some point in time it just drags down your program. Your job is not to save every pitiful pup in the world. It's to win football games!

Should it still be a shock that we continue to shy away from interior lineman on either side of the ball?

I can't imagine that the whole Front Office and coaching staff is this clueless to our roster weaknesses. Either they are all afraid to make Jerry see it or they are equally horrible talent evaluators. No good reason to keep neglecting it. One Center doesn't solve all problems. Ratliff and Hatcher are getting up there in age and contract size, Brent is out, Lissemore hustles, and Crawford is a tweener. Again, how do they not realize D Line is an issue??

that is a little strange. but to me, i imagine they feel ok on the DL and perhaps it was ryans scheme more than players. i'm not sure an UDFA OL prospect would really make a difference, but by appearance, it does continue to raise valid questions. we'll see on who they sign as a FA and go from there.

We all know that Jerry doesn't value the OL. My thinking is, that after he got ripped by the media for drafting Fredericks, that's the excuse he now has to never draft an OL early.

You mention as to how you couldn't imagine Jerry being so clueless about the weakness of the roster particularly with the OL; but the bigger question is how clueless can he be in not looking at the 49ers' and the success they are having when they invested resources in the OL and not think how well Romo and the Cowboys as a whole would be with an OL like that? Sadly, I think he sees the 49ers, and it has made him all the more entrenched in his thinking. Jerry is not going to be a follower; he thinks he a fucking innovator. Jerry is in defiance and denial of conventional wisdo. Spending all that money to extend Romo, and doing practically nothing to protect him.

It baffles the mind as to how a person has such an aversion to perhaps the most important unit on the team.

I'm just as happy that the team didn't add more developmental OL this weekend; I'm not convinced more developmental OL were needed. They already have guys like Arkin, Kowalski, and Leary on the roster .... No point in hitting the restart button just for the heck of it.

It would have been great for the Cowboys to draft a second rookie OL who could be a year 1 starter. Unfortunately, those guys were drafted very early.

I see 12 confirmed names. Our clueless GM says were signing 15-20 this year, so more names should be added.

cam lawrence is my "pet cat". love what i'm seeing so far.

I've seen many of his games. He's got a great football attitude ... plays with passion. He's a motivational team leader RKG.

His weakness is that he's prone to being overpowered. He was just marginally strong enough to be an SEC LB; he got tossed around too much. When encountering pulling OL, there were times that he looked like a boy playing a man's game.

He has old school recklessness, fearlessness, gutsiness that could land him a spot on special teams. Realistically, that's his chance to make the team. Not sure that he has an NFL body, though.

Has Robert LEster or Ray Ray Armstrong signed with anyone?

Edit: Lester is a Panther.

Looks like Rams got Ray Ray.

RB Kendial Lawrence Missouri

04/17/2013 - 2013 NFL DRAFT: 124 FBS PROGRAMS, 124 POSSIBLE UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENTS: MISSOURI: RB Kendial Lawrence (5-9, 194, 4.33)...His marginal size is largely the reason why he's gone unnoticed during the predraft process, but Lawrence has the speed and burst to possibly contribute as a NFL change-of-pace back. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
•More Kendial Lawrence News

Overview

Lawrence was a Parade All-American out of Rockwall, Texas who came to Missouri as the N0. 16-ranked running back in the country by Rivals.com.

After being productive in a reserve role through his first two seasons, Lawrence won the starting job out of fall camp entering his junior season. However, he suffered a cracked fibula in practice before the second game of the season and missed three games. When he returned, Lawrence was a backup to Henry Josey.

Ironically, a season-ending injury to Josey put Lawrence back in the starting spot, and he gained 371 yards with three touchdowns over the final three games of the season.

Lawrence was the unquestioned lead back as a senior, and showed durability with 200 carries for 1,102 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry.

Lawrence wasn't invited to the Scouting Combine, but did run 40-yard dashes of 4.33 and 4.45 seconds at his pro day, according to NFL.com.

Analysis

Lawrence is undersized and has been injury prone at time during his career, dating back to high school. But he was impressive at his pro day, showing elite top-end speed and good quickness.
