Have a friend who works out at Amarillo International... He says things are running smoothly. Smallish airport sure. But shouldn't it be bad there too?

Good for him. Destroying history is a tactic of Marxists - and a central point in Orwell's "1984". Columbus was a hero of his time and not nearly as bad as the Spanish Conquistadors who essentially destroyed a major civilization in central America.

Not to mention bringing European diseases to what is today the US Southwest wiping out millions of natives, reintroduction of the horse which the tribes had never seen, causing tribal wars against each other that otherwise couldn't have happened due to distance, introduction of swine where it never was, domestic poultry, invasive non domestic trees and plants, and let's not leave out Roman Catholicism.

And it was three major civilizations in central and South America, conquests.

By the time 1619 rolled around the native tribes were devastated.
