Not sure I find the humor in this. We have a very slim majority in the house as it is so forcing more Republicans out of office is not a great strategy. Forget the vote totals, it is the speakership that matters. Imagine Hakeem Jeffries as the new speaker of the house and deciding which bill come to the floor, who sits on committees, What issue are investigated, etc. Everything MAGA wants disappear if the Republicans lose the house and whether or not the Senate ends the filibuster will not matter.

Republicans fighting Republicans while Democrats are begging the military to disregard direct orders from their commanders is peak Republican party behavior. MTG screwed up. Massie screwed up, but Collins, Murkowski McConnell and others have been far worse. We tolerate their nonsense to keep the majority and we should do the same for the house members. Republicans need a better strategy to keep their members in line than to trash them and boot them out of their positions.

I have some real issues with Trump and this meeting with Mamdani.

First, MTG was criticized for a lot less when she went on the View while Trump was literally patting Mamdani, an avowed socialist, Jew hater, and Trump hater, on the back. I see no reason why Trump had to meet with Mamdani at all, never mind acting like his best buddy. What does Trump want from Mamdani?

Trump being so nice to Mamdani almost lends credence to Mamdani's socialism. Trump is not doing what is best for America by propping up this communist Muslim. Again, Trump does not need Mamdani, but Mamdani needs Trump. If Mamdani succeeds because Trump helped him who benefits? Not Trump. Not the country. It will be socialists like AOC, Bernie Sanders and Mamdani that will benefit and they will try to take their socialist circus all over America.

This is an interesting take and in he end she may be right about how this meeting neutralized Mamdani. I just don't believe that was his intent, at least not completely. But until I have better information about what Trump was doing I will accept this is one possibility.

She is right about one thing. The left wants to be the victims at all times. You are the victims and they are here to save you. They are the victims and Trump or whoever is a bully. It is actually pathetic but it is working for a certain percentage of their party.
