Despite our philosophies being unaligned, the US allied with Russia in the War of 1812, WW1 & WW2 and then managed to peacefully end the Cold War via Reagan/Gorbachev and a lot of Russians lost their lives working as spies for the US. They also sold the US Alaska at the bargain price of 7.2 M (146m today, still a bargain). It doesnt hurt to acknowledge and celebrate how we've managed to avoid war with other and build on this positive fact while also not getting walked on or over in the attempt to negotiate peace.

Unlike dems and libtards, I firmly believe in talking to those that disagree with me

If you believed Putin and Trump would meet once and that would be the end of the war, they your are foolish, or you have such a high regard for Trump that you believed he could do it in one meeting.

Putin has an enormous ego, just like Trump. There is no way he just caves in and ends the war. He has to look like he is winning too. This first meeting was about posturing. Putin needed to look like he is Trump's equal, and Trump had to show Putin just how powerful the US really is, hence the flyovers of the B2 bombers.

Of course there are morons and traitors like John Brennan talking about how Putin dominated the conversation etc. (that seems to be the Dem talking point) but we know he is a liar. He has no idea what went on in that room, I am sure Trump let Putin talk because Trump is a listener. But I am certain Trump did not let Putin "dominate". That's not Trump.

A couple of points. If there is going to be peace Trump and Putin absolutely must speak and they are better doing it face to face than through letters and media. There is no way there can be peace if Trump and Putin do not communicate. Biden did not meet with Putin like this in 4 years, and the war just dragged on at an enormous cost of money and lives.

Then, this is going to take multiple meetings. There was no chance it would be resolved with one. Trump knows that. It may take 3, 4 or even 5 meetings. Again, Putin cannot come out of this looking like Trump stomped on him. He wants it to look cordial, and he and Trump are best buddies. He cannot look like a loser and he cannot just give in. If this could be resolved in one meeting, Russians would be wonder what all that loss of life was really all about.

Finally, the world is better off when Trump and Putin are talking. We do not want or need another cold war.

I don't know why President Trump keeps agreeing to do interviews with Sean Hannity.
I don't watch Fox News, or Sean Hannity. (I can't stand him.)

The EU is desperately trying to get America (American Taxpayers) to underwrite:
1. The rebuild of Ukraine
2. To guarantee the security of Ukraine after the Peace deal is done with Russia.

FUCK that to #1 and # 2. The Ukraine is of NO Vital importance to the United States.
Let the EU do that if it cares to.
