Barkley and Bray are the only 2 NCAA QB's I can think of right now that will be solid or higher NFL starting QB's. Landry Jones is too inconsistent. Klein is Tebow. Logan Thomas might be decent. Geno Smith won't be crap.

too many queer offenses in college football...hard to tell who might develop

I do feel safe saying there will be nobody drafted next year that will be good their first year or two in the league

So there is no QB in college football right now who can make all the throws on the route tree and not make devastating/potentially devastating decisions every week?

Guess we're stuck with Romo. As if that wasn't an alternative. FUck.

I had a dream that we traded him to the Niners. Stay tuned.

I don't if I'm being too picky here or not, but the thing that got me today was following the bomb TD to Austin. At the time I thought that like a hitter going through a slump who needed a nice, solid hit to get out of it, I was expecting Romo to snap out of the throwing funk, but nothing ever came of that.

Idk, the dude seems to have lost it.

Only problem is there is no clear franchise QB like Luck on the horizon. No one in college now who is a guaranteed star QB.

Right.
A lot of good young QBs.
No really great ones.

Well IMO he will never win us anything

and his accurancy is gone - I have not seen him throw a deep ball in weeks that was on target

hell last week he was throwing to I don't know who

I probably keep him one more year

heres a couple QB's I am looking at

Zac Dysert, QB, Miami of Ohio
Height: 6-4. Weight: 228.
Projected 40 Time: 4.79.
Projected Round (2013): 3-5.
10/6/12: Dysert has completed 67 percent of his passes for 1,413 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions thus far in 2012. The redshirt senior could help his draft stock by playing well against Cincinnati. He didn't perform well against Boise State in mid-September.

8/16/12: Dysert is an experienced signal caller that has improved each season. He saw his first action in 2009 when he completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,614 yards with 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. As a sophomore in 2010 he completed 64.7 percent for 2,406 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 picks. Last year he had a 65.8 completion percentage with 3,513 yards and 23 touchdowns. His interceptions dropped by one to 11. He also ran for four touchdowns.

Ryan Nassib, Syracuse
Height: 6-2. Weight: 229.
Projected 40 Time: 4.80.
Projected Round (2013): 2-3.
10/6/12: Nassib has completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,367 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions this year. He has displayed intelligence and accuracy this season.

Nassib had a record-setting game in a narrow loss to Northwestern in Syracuse's opener. He threw four touchdowns in the second half to give the Orange a lead. Nassib set Syracuse records in passing attempts and yards as he completed 45-of-66 passes for 479 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Nassib also picked up some clutch yards on the ground.

Alex Carder, QB, Western Michigan
Height: 6-2. Weight: 224.
Projected 40 Time: 4.61.
Projected Round (2013): 6-7.
10/6/12: Carder has completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,049 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions. He didn't have a good game against Illinois in the season opener, but the redshirt senior got no help from his offensive line and wide receivers. Carder is missing former No. 1 receiver Jordan White.

8/16/12: Carder has been a prolific passer for Western Michigan and was a 2011 Second-Team All-MAC performer as a junior. He lit up Purdue in his bowl game, completing 31-of-57 passes for 439 yards and three touchdowns.

Carder played well against Illinois and Michigan as well. Against Connecticut, he completed 37-of-51 passes for 479 yards with five touchdowns and zero interceptions, carrying the Broncos to a road win over the Huskies.

Carder completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,873 yards with 31 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 2011. He has a nice arm and is a good decision-maker. His senior season will be more difficult without star wide receiver Jordan White.

Carder completed 63 percent of his throws in 2010 for 3,334 yards with 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He has been extremely efficient for Western Michigan.

You claim our O line is hot garbage in your sig, but post how awful Romo is behind it. Like anyone we bring in would play better than he does behind it. LOL

Horrible job by Bob explaining that play

Romo pumped to the right to get the LB to bite, like he is probably supposed to. Assuming the LB would play it correctly, Romo forces the ball over the middle. LB didn't bite and the ball hit him in the hands.

THAT'S CLASSIC ROMO...he's so frickin smart. But sometimes it gets him in trouble because he forgets 99% of NFL players aren't from Wisconsin

Either/or, Witten isn't gaining many yards after the catch because he has another defender right behind him. But that's my point, why force something between 2 players when you have a RB sitting there for an easy 1st down?

Because that is Tony in a nutshell. He doesn't like to rationalize and just go for the safe(r) play.

If we can't at least threaten going deep anymore then the whole season is moot

Watched the Pats yesterday, Brady is throwing deep constantly. And the whole game it didn't work, Lloyd dropped some, Brady missed some by a mile. But they kept going to it and if nothing else it kept the safeties honest.

We don't even try.

That’s the problem with the offense, a lack of big explosive touchdown plays. Romo tends to only throw the deep ball when the guy is running 20 yards wide open. Both Bryant and Austin can go up and snatch the ball, throw it up there and let them make a play on the ball. At least generate a PI. Offense feels so boring and conservative. Haven’t felt this way since the Vinny years.

If you look around the league generally a teams record accurately reflects their qb's ability. With exceptions like a bad situation in san diego for Brees or a juggernaut Vikings making things easy for culpepper.

What is this gonna be 4 years missing the playoffs here out of 7? This team around romo clearly is mediocore but at some point what's our plan here? If we can't throw the ball 20 yards down the field, to try and keep games close for as long as possible, then we obviously aren't going to seriously compete. So what then we just fart around and make things interesting for 2-3 Years and then rebuild and have to find a QB with like the 19th pick in that years draft .

You guys ever consider the fact that we adjusted?

Offensive line is sooo bad we are getting the ball out of Romos hands much quicker...shorter passing attack...also running more

We can't score for shit, that is hardly a solution or excuse.

When you have a 15 yard radius to defend its totally congested and crowded. It's like we're not even a real team anymore
