This draft is so typical of this team

so winning in the NFL is equal to winning a lottery? No wonder we never win.

No asshat. I just figured since you were so good at knowing who the starters were for 2013 (despite the offseason, training camp and preseason) not being completed, I assumed you could apply your visionary excellence to something useful and help me out financially.

Who won the Super Bowl? I forgot already.

The Ravens, with Ray Rice being a significant part of the equation. You think they ran the "run and shoot" up there or something? Three others teams (Skins, Seahawks, Niners) made the playoffs due to QBs who can (wait for it) run.

Ray Rice figures prominently in their passing game, so...

The 9ers, Seahawks and Redskins did what they did because they largely couldn't trust their QBs to stand in the pocket and throw it on teams all day.

BTW, didn't you notice that the Redskin and Seahawk lines were thought of as so bad early in the year until their young QBs starting playing a little and a little ingenuity from the coaches was thrown in? I bet you didn't.

And the Packers have already taken Lacy and Franklin, clearly trying to run the ball better despite paying one of the best QBs in the game huge money. I'm not convinced running the ball is completely dead yet.

I hope we didn’t draft for backups, but i fear that might be the case. I admit i am very envious when i see the same teams stocking up on pass rushers, o-lineman...guys that move and shake the earth and are truly are the ones that decide games. Cowboys seems to have very little interest in these type of players. I really thought we would come into this draft with a different mentality. Hopefully one or two fo these guys can be good backups.

Running the ball still controls the clock and finishes games. Remember the Patriots game? Three straight runs. three straight fails. Tom Brady time.

Are you suggesting it doesn't? If a team isn't inept (like the Cowboys) at running the ball and/or actually values the offensive line then it does control the clock and helps finish games. Only a retard would suggest otherwise.

Don't blame you, man. We did need a S, but this CB pick is frustrating. I'm for drafting BPA and not need, but this late it gets harder to differentiate the player rankings anyway. You can get guards this late who can play. We really need a RB and a G... And who the heck on this team is going to play the 1-tech on defense?

My worst fear is what we were talking about in another thread, that Jerry has convinced himself that our problems on defense were 100% Rob Ryan, the guy who just two years earlier was a genius. Now Kiffin is supposed to fix it all. Not gonna happen.

What good is this BPA crap is said BPA player is unable to see the field because of a glut at that position? And why pass on a player that fills a need, but may not be the "BPA", but at least has a chance to make a contribution?
