Just consider for a minute what is going on in the Senate as we speak:

TDS is real and a very dangerous disease. Democrats are openly lying about just about everything now and the media is backing them up. While Americans forced out of work are waiting for their stimulus checks, the amount of which is decreasing by the week, the full senate is listening to debates about lies we all know are lies. And this will go on for at least another week!
In the meantime, the DC medical examiner's office is saying they did not find any evidence that the Capitol police officer who died on Jan 6. suffered any blunt force trauma. All those media reports that he was beaten with a fire extinguisher were lies. The officer who died, died of natural causes, a stroke resulting from an unknown medical condition. But he did not die from being beaten by rioters.
My question is, how much lying and dishonesty must we endure before we say enough is enough?

That evening, Sicknick texted his elder brother to tell him that he had been pepper sprayed twice but felt fine, the brother told ProPublica.
Sicknick was still in his office the night of January 6 when he collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
His family was told he had suffered a stroke, and Sicknick died at approximately 9.30pm the evening of January 7, the day after the riot.

Disney fires Gina Corano from the Mandalorian who is a conservative for a social media post comparing the current political climate to Nazi Germany
That’s their prerogative.
However, they did not fire the Star of the same show for making the same type of comparisons.
Hypocrisy much?
With how often the left lets its hypocrisy show maybe this topic should have its own thread.
On the same topic of the hypocrisy of the left here are 10 Liberals who have made similar comparisons and have not been cancelled!

Forget the hypocrisy, which is rampant in this country now. The fact is everything Carano said is true. The Nazi's used lies and propaganda on a massive scale to turn the German people against the Jews. In fact, it is well established fact that ordinary German citizens turned in their neighbors to the Nazis. It is impossible to believe they did not know their Jewish neighbors were going to disappear. Anyone familiar with the events in the late 1920s and early 1930s can clearly see the parallels to the US in 2021. The propaganda about Jan 6 is as thick and mud and it is being used to justify, not just turning in Trump supporters who participated in the Jan 6th Trump rally, but also to get them fired from their jobs and ostracized from society. At the same time, the government has stepped up surveillance of US citizen they now claim are terrorists simply because they support Trump and believe the election was stolen. Even the military is purging the ranks based on political ideology. As Carano asks, what is the difference between religious beliefs and political beliefs? Both are the individual thoughts of citizens. And in case you missed it, there has been a soft movement to attack Christianity in America. Christians are called racists, backwards, uneducated, and all kinds of names. This is exactly what happened to Jews in the 1920s and 30s.
We are living in a mixture of Orwell's 1984 and Nazi Germany. The truth has become "verboten". Where are our leaders to decry this kind of fascism? Where are the heroes to stand up and say "I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend your right to say it"?
Perhaps we need a refresher course in the Bill of Rights. The Bill of rights is about individual rights, not the rights of groups, political parties, classes of people, races of people, genders of people or any other assignments. The government does not grant us these right. The government is supposed to protect our rights.
This is our constitution, or the law of the land. The idea that the government takes care of everyone by mandating you work for the whole instead of yourself and family is not allowed by our constitution. It is the opposite of what the founders envisioned. If the government can tell you to give your property to someone else, then why not just have the King back and let him in his divine wisdom lord over us.

Yes, many definitely do. The Bill of Rights protects us against GOVERNMENT action only. Not private action, not from each other, not from our employer. ONLY the government. The entire Constitution is about protecting us from the government. Nothing else. In fact there's only one amendment in it that restricts private action.
"Freedom of speech" doesn't mean there can't be consequences of the speech. It means the government can't censor, interfere, or punish, speech. Private enterprise certainly can. Individuals certainly can.

George Clooney had a great diatribe about why he doesn't have a social media account. He said he doesn't want to be that idiot who posts without thinking (or after drinking), goes to bed, and then wakes up to find out that his career is over. You have a right to free speech but not any protection at all from being stupid with it.

this is one of many reasons I am so vehemently opposed to censorship, it never gets done fairly and ends up being a weapon by those with power or influence and it is like Nazi, Germany in that respect
