From Variety about that POS Chris Nolan & wife's movie "The Odyssey"

Christopher Nolan cited Emily Wilson’s 2017 translation of “The Odyssey” as an influence on his own interpretation of Homer’s epic poem while on the press tour for his latest blockbuster. Wilson is not returning the favor. In a negative review of Nolan’s “The Odyssey” for the London Review of Books (via The Guardian), Wilson criticized Nolan’s adaptation for lacking “psychological, emotional, political and ethical depth.” The author, who is also a professor of classical studies at the University of Pennsylvania, added that Nolan’s “The Odyssey” has “nothing convincing to say.”

Is this true? I find it hard to believe. Before calculus there are a few other things that must be mastered first. Algebra for 1. Perhaps Chinese kids are being introduced to topics like areas and curves but I would be shocked if the average Chinese 3rd grader is being taught calculus with any success.

Update: I looked it up. This is another internets BS claim and is false. Chinese schools don't teach calculus until late high school, similar to US schools.

Hollywood simply cannot make a real blockbuster historical depiction anymore because rather than showing history as it was, the brutality and rigid cultures of the time, Hollywood has established guidelines to forces any new projects into the current woke culture of our time. This is incompatible with historial accuracy.

At the same time, audiences seem to prefer grandiosity over accuracy and magical special effects over boringly natural scenery.

I read the Iliad and the Odyssey when I was in college, which was a long time ago. The interest in the story was seeing ancient Greek culture through the eye of Homer. Today, we have to watch Elliot Page, formerly Ellen Page, play the part of a Greek warrior, which is beyond absurd.

Yeah, but US schools do start indoctrinating kids into sick LBGTQWTF garbage at an extremely early age.

And they are not TEACHING shit to them. Our kids are painfully stupid because of government education, and it's 100% on purpose.

BTW, for Texas residents. Ivermectin is now legal to purchase OTC. The only problem is nobody seems to have it. I checked every pharmacy in our area with no luck. I found a pharmacy in Fort Worth where you can purchase it online. It is not a scam. I purchased some. I am not sure if they will sell to people in other states???
