Normally, I would say this is hyperbole. But I think now we are so close to our own demise, and we do not see it, but the debt is already $35 trillion and growing. Kamala is talking about spending even more money while at the same time imposing destructive taxes to pay for it. I think our economy is a house of cards right now and some of her proposals will knock the whole thing down.

Imagine a 44% tax on short term capital gains. That will render short term investments practically useless. More taxes on the wealthy will send us into a recession, and in the end lower tax revenues which will increase the deficit and the debt. Once into the spiral there is no easy way out before economic calamity strikes. The 2008 crisis was not predicted and the next crisis will be far worse than that one.
