See? It's stuff like this that makes me GLAD Dallas hasn't made it back to the big show, and makes me really deep down inside hope they DON'T until long after this fuck is DEAD.

The only saving grace to them losing is seeing that insecure dictator squirm and miss out on his desperate need for recognition.

I just finished reading a book about jerri and the year he fired jimmy, he had the video about that season remixed after Jimmy was fired to remove Jimmy & apparently highlighted jerri nonstop, so much so he walked around after the viewing apologizing for hogging all the limelight.

Obviously he decided to abandon this axiom:

Jerry Jones: "If you're willing to give others the credit, - YouTube

Dallas Cowboys < NFL Videos

I watched it and now want to kill myself.

"Here we go boys, here we go. Be yourself" *clap clap clap clap*

"Attaboy. Attaboy." *clap clap clap* "Attaboy."

"Attababy." *clap clap clap clap clap* "Attababy*

He also let out a GD bomb when he almost killed himself with the cord trying to run down the sideline. Dork.

He does like to repeat himself a lot to the point where I shake my head and wonder if he resonates with the players.

I've played a lot of poker and am pretty clued in to body language so when he does the post game speeches I look at the players and they just don't look like they're into what he is saying, except the one time he said they got to wear sweats on the plane home from Seattle. It's a minor issue but something that stands out to me.

I think philosophically he is dead on and thats showing in how the organization is doing business and as I've said before, I think he's the best we're going to get while Jerry is alive but he isn't perfect & no other coach would be either.

Things seem a lot different to me since he's been coach, I hope it continues for the better and his coaching staff can fill in where he is lacking.

just my 2 cents, I know y'all don't agree

I heard some of the excerpts on the radio as well. That Parcells book may be my next read...

They mentioned the part about dividing up the credit as well as that quote from Parcells that is in Mid's sig about Jerry having no football philosophy and thinking he's a talent evaluator but he's not.

I totally agree with Steve being better. He might not be good, but at least I think he cares about football and not being the Barnum and Bailey of football. Plus he was born wealthy and I don't think is as consumed with the money aspect as his deddy.

Plus, if I read him right, he seems almost a little embarrassed about the lack of success on the football side. Jerry of course has no shame in any area.

He talked Jerry out of getting Manziel and going with Martin. Pretty damn good in my book. Not saying that he is the best, but I believe that he will prove to be far more a football guy than Jerry, although that is not saying much and really setting the bar low. Stephen has a bearing about him that suggests he will approach football in a more sane approach, he's no-nonsense. He was very instrumental in getting T.O. out of here (although I didn't agree with that). But what impress me the most is how when Parcells was HC for the Cowboys and Jerry was walking on egg shells around Parcells, Junior on the other hand pretty much told Parcells to go fuck himself.

Gawd, I hope you're right, jerri has to be one of the most insecure people on the planet.

Did you know jerri actually negotiated with Bill Parcells before he hired him over how recognition would be allocated should they win a Super Bowl? Can you imagine hiring someone to do a job and telling them if they're successful, that you'll be taking credit for it? Its absurdly insecure and shallow, one of the many reasons I hate the man with a passion.

Here's the excerpt from the Book Parcells: A Football Life

Gotta steal that. Unreal.

Cool yimyam, I looked on Google books for that when excerpts from the book first leaked out, but guess it wasn't on there yet... Glad it is now.

Skimming through it, can you tell me the part where you found that? It seems to be basically in chronological order, but I only see three pages concerning the Cowboys at the end, and that part isn't in there. The parts about meeting with Jerry and signing here are skipped, at least in the preview I'm seeing. Do the omitted pages change if you clear your cookies or something?

Anyway, I've read other books on Parcells, but one thing I didn't realize was Parcells' first exposure to Al Davis came when Bill played in a college all-star game, the Texas vs the Rest of the Country, when Davis coached the non-Texas side Bill was playing for. Bill skipped the Blue-Gray game because it was too close to Christmas. Funny how different times were then.

here's a link to my Google search

I used the search terms: "excerpt from Parcells: A Football Life about Jerry Jones" and read until I found the quote

I assume the above info will get you there?

Weird, that page is blanked out for me. The next page is the part where Parcells discusses Jerry being a risk-taker.

Oh well, no big deal.

If Barry Switzer and Brian Billick can do it, I guess the Clapper can too.

No, I take it back. They're much better coaches than he is.

I'll keep saying this until time proves me right or wrong but I think this off-season is when Stephen will make his mark. The Cowboys have the potential to free up approx $50M in cap room and sign 3 or 4 free agent difference makers.

You really think they can free up that much? They have a ton of free agents too.

This is the first year you can get out from under Carrs contract too. Wonder if they try to talk him into a pay cut?

Not just the Clapper but there has to be a name for that cat-pawing maul thing he does when a player comes near him following an unexpected and improbable big play. It's almost like Jason is going for a headlock and noogie and then awkwardly finishes by pushing the player in praise. Maybe he has Asperger's.
