From what I've read, I think the judge is saying that since the NFLPA signed off on it, the CBA allows it.

I'm not sure what the NFLPA is doing. On one hand, they now have evidence of collusion which will be useful in any future litigation next time there are negotiations. But, they also sold out short term for a few extra dollars of cap space so the players didn't realize how badly they got shafted in the recent round of negotiations.

No talent, no cap space, no first round draft picks for the next two years... RG3 will be out of the league before Washington even has a chance to help him.

laufenberg said the other night that he doesnt see that top notch passer when he watches rg3 and that he thinks he is going to struggle a little bit.

i hope he is right, this way we can finish 3rd instead of 4th the next couple of years.

There was an aspect brought up a while back that's pretty hard to refute.

By giving Austin 17M in that first season, Dallas raised the price of the franchise tag for the 2011 season for WRs.

Kind of easy to see where that would piss some teams off.

I love how D Smith is playing both sides so he can stay in the good graces of the players.

Signs off on the penalty because he knows the players would throw his ass to the curb had that cap come back way lower than the previous season.

And now he's challenging it because he knows the players are aware of that and doesn't want to look like a complete puppet for the league.
