As the Cowboys wait for nose tackle Jay Ratliff to return from a groin injury, a new report indicates that Ratliff and owner Jerry Jones recently engaged in a locker-room altercation.
According to Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Ratliff and Jones had a heated exchange after last Sunday night’s win over the Eagles.
Ratliff has missed seven games this year with various injuries and the last three with a strained groin. Jones said to Ratliff after the Eagles win, “We need you.”
Ratliff responded angrily, resulting in a “volcanic” confrontation that included a jaw-to-jaw argument. “They’re both passionate men and great men and they want to win, that’s all it is,’’ one source told Fisher. “But they were in each other’s faces. People had to intervene.”
According to Fisher, Ratliff physically challenged Jones and made “derisive” reference to his age.
