That is why it is important. On paper it doesn't look "that bad"
When yo9u see it, it is clearly disturbing. To anyone.

When you are a lady who has done absolutely nothing wrong and you get your face smashed in for just speaking the fuck up, it is fucking distirbing to people. Assult and Domestic Violence look alot better when it's just words on a piece of paper.

When I said abuse SURVIVOR, I meant it. I got all of my teeth knocked loose in my head, roofied 4 times, wrist broken, hairline fracture in the shin and when I called the cops they told me I was playing the victim because "I didn't have a bruise on me."

It is important for people to SEE what it looks like.

(Mind you, goes to show how well I played Derby if I obviously didn't have a bruise on me. ha.)

And, it's important for people to know. And I think it's important this woman leave immediately.

My OWN opinion on Rice and his service to the NFL is this though, If any other man were to do this, would he lose his job? The answer is no. No he would not. My ex didn't lose his job. Nor did I. Many others do not. Is it just? No. Not in my opinion. I think he should lose his job and fork over half of what they own and they go their separate ways, and call it good.
But I am not one of the old white men running the show. Now am I.

So, instead of letting justice take it's course, I learned to shoot. I learned to take some hits in Derby. And now, i'll learn to box. and I can twirl each and every one of my rambo sized kitchen knives in the palm of my hand and have my pocket knife open and ready in 3 seconds from the pocket. Because a Restraining order is just a piece of paper, and because fucktards like the NFL, and unfortunately the old white guys running the government think we are over reacting.

True, but most of us don't have corporate sponsors paying millions of dollars to our employers who narrow-mindedly think that if they continue to pay your employer people will stop buying their product.

Big difference. Unfortunately, it's all about the money, not the concern over domestic abuse.

Just the ones who are under contract with clauses in it regarding behavior, law breaking, drug use, etc. It's not like playing sports is a regular Joe job.

That is exactly the point I am trying to make. He SHOULD lose his job, and he is now. But before anyone could SEE exactly what happened nobody was influenced. And it ONLY became an issue becaue of that. That is why it is important now that he lose his job.

No, it isn't. But the last time I checked laws applied to everyone. Even football players. Corporate can do what they want as long as it is within the scope of the law. But I think he should get fired. And glad he is getting fired.

But once you sign that contract the contract is the law. The player can still sue if he wants but the courts WILL uphold the stipulations you agreed to abide by.

The league is mandating every single nfl employee top to bottom go to a mandatory domestic violence and sexual harassment training. Haha I'd tell them to fly a kite. I'm not giving you an hour of my time I know not to hit or rape people. This is your problem don't drag me into it

I wonder if Peterson's problems might cost him the HOF one day. I know that you're only supposed to consider on-field performance, but sports writers can be petty and vindictive when they want to.

How the Ray Rice scandal unfolded between the Baltimore Ravens, Roger Goodell and the NFL - ESPN

The seven-month scandal that is threatening Roger Goodell's future as NFL commissioner began with an unexpected phone call in the early morning hours on a Saturday in February.

Just hours after running back Ray Rice knocked out his then-fiancée with a left hook at the Revel Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Baltimore Ravens' director of security, Darren Sanders, reached an Atlantic City police officer by phone. While watching surveillance video -- shot from inside the elevator where Rice's punch knocked his fiancée unconscious -- the officer, who told Sanders he just happened to be a Ravens fan, described in detail to Sanders what he was seeing.

Sanders quickly relayed the damning video's play-by-play to team executives in Baltimore, unknowingly starting a seven-month odyssey that has mushroomed into the biggest crisis confronting a commissioner in the NFL's 95-year history.

"Outside the Lines" interviewed more than 20 sources over the past 11 days -- team officials, current and former league officials, NFL Players Association representatives and associates, advisers and friends of Rice -- and found a pattern of misinformation and misdirection employed by the Ravens and the NFL since that February night.

After the Feb. 15 incident in the casino elevator, Ravens executives -- in particular owner Steve Bisciotti, president Dick Cass and general manager Ozzie Newsome -- began extensive public and private campaigns pushing for leniency for Rice on several fronts: from the judicial system in Atlantic County, where Rice faced assault charges, to commissioner Goodell, who ultimately would decide the number of games Rice would be suspended from this fall, to within their own building, where some were arguing immediately after the incident that Rice should be released.

The Ravens also consulted frequently with Rice's Philadelphia defense attorney, Michael J. Diamondstein, who in early April had obtained a copy of the inside-elevator video and told Cass: "It's f---ing horrible." Cass did not request a copy of the video from Diamondstein but instead began urging Rice's legal team to get Rice accepted into a pretrial intervention program after being told some of the program's benefits. Among them: It would keep the inside-elevator video from becoming public.

So, most reasonable people's suspicions are confirmed. This wasn't a "we got it wrong" thing at all, it was a active coverup the lid blew off of.

Shows you the state of affairs in this country when ESPN is doing the hard investigative reporting on a sports league coverup, but the main stream press and media sits on its hands - being a good little lapdog - for multiple government coverups and corruption.

You cant make this shit up.

Ray Rice will claim video was edited

Updated: September 21, 2014, 10:54 AM ET

ESPN.com news services

One of the chief arguments that Ray Rice will make in the appeal of his indefinite suspension is that the NFL extended his punishment on the basis of an edited videotape, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Legal sources told Schefter that the TMZ tape of Rice hitting his then-fiancee was a cleaned-up, whittled down and condensed version of the events that took place in the Atlantic City casino elevator.

Rice's side is expected to argue that the NFL suspended the former Baltimore Ravens running back indefinitely off an edited videotape that was not the extended version.

Robert Mueller, who has been appointed by the NFL to investigate the league's handling of the Rice case, also is expected to have access to the contents of the full elevator security video, not just the edited TMZ version, according to sources.

The Ravens released Rice on Sept. 8 just hours after TMZ released the video of him punching Janay Palmer, who was knocked unconscious when her head hit a railing inside the elevator.

The NFL announced the indefinite suspension shortly after Rice's release, a far more severe penalty than the two-game suspension he had initially received in July.

The two-game ban drew widespread criticism of the NFL's policy on domestic violence, prompting the league to institute harsher penalties and for commissioner Roger Goodell to admit that he "didn't get it right" in a letter to team owners.

Anyone watching the entire, LONG version of the TMZ video can see, there was no editing of it. The short version though, of course. But the edit for time didn't change the content at all.

What, someone's going to claim it was modified via CGI?
