Getting rid of Romo is not going to make Garrett a better playcaller or better decision-maker; but maybe, just maybe getting rid of Garrett [and assuming he's replaced with a more better/competant] might help Romo AND thereby the team.

So if this team had been eliminated because we had lost to Cincy, Philly or Pittsburgh -- all games where Romo almost single-handedly willed this team to win -- then bbgun would be fine with Romo as QB? I mean the Washington game wouldn't have been an "elimination game."

Let's all base our QB analysis on your hand-picked 8 games, as opposed to the other 90 he's played.

Makes sense.

Depends on whether he was personally responsible for any of those three hypothetical defeats. Did I blame him for the Saints loss? Hell no.

So coach #4 will do the trick? Hmmm.

Bbgun must be arguing for the permission to make fun of romo

Because hes not dumb enough to think we can't win with him

Lots of teams win without Tony, Ware, Witten, etc. No one's indispensable.

Do you think he was solely responsible for losing to Washington?

That's not what I said. You're labeling him a choker as if he hasn't won big games or had big 4th moments.

He's overrated as a player
He's underrated as a clutch player

If Favre and romo switch teams in 2009 he's in the nfccg. And spare me the 17 pro-bowler shit. Most of those guys are retired or on their way out.
Retired: Davis, Flo, gurode, Hamlin, Newman?
On way out: miles, rat, Jenkins, mcbriar

Yea Brady and manning are going to Be in the afccg with an entirely new group as their first afccg so obviously we should hire them

I don't think he played well but that's all ill leave it at. He didn't play well. I don't have the memory of a goldfish
I would have to be retarded to argue that he played well. I'm just not going to take it to the other extreme and say he's got to go because of the game. I don't do extreme well.

Just get him a fedora and it'll be like Landry reincarnated. No difference whatsoever.

In a team sport such as football, very few players are solely responsible for a loss, but if he doesn't turn the ball over, then yes, I think we win that game.

lol

Yes because Parcells started him for half a season and Wade/Garrett have proven to be BRILLIANT head coaches.

Excellent post.

So three separate coaches have failed him, not the other way around.

Excellent post.

Drew brees in San Diego :
5 seasons: 80 TD's , 51 picks,
33-31 as a starter
0-1 in the playoffs

Think San Diego wants him back?

It has fucking nothing to do with a coach keeping romo in line our getting the most out of him. the only way to keep a qb as good as romo out of the playoffs is to play such terrible defense that his efforts just aren't good enough. Holy fuck how hard is this to understand?

Yes, the defense can and should be blamed, especially Rob Ryan. But Ryan cannot be faulted that the offense only averages 8 points for the first half of each game. Sounds like you're letting Garrett off the hook.

Yes bc Wade and Garrett have set a standard of HC excellence that most other coaches have only read about in Lombardi biographies.

Your "argument" is so bad now that you're inadvertently defending the GM here along with the likes of Wade Philips. There's a good reason why only one of Jerry's previous HC hires is even still employed on some level with an NFL team, and (spoiler alert) it's not bc they were all sabotaged by gunslinging QBs

I'll assume you're referring to the last turnover. If he didn't throw that pick in the flat, and instead he drove the team down the field and scored a TD it would have been on his back. He would be being praised for winning that game again, single-handedly.

So what you have boiled it down to is one interception has defined him for you as a QB?
