Penalties

This team can beat any team in the league. The problem is we shoot ourselves in the foot every game with penalties. The coaches apparently have no clue how to stop them. Of course our GM has no clue because this relates to football.

Any ideas on how to put an end to this shit? I propose we give a copy of the rulebook to every player on the team and then start issuing fines: $1,000 per penalty, $5,000 per penalty if it's on 3rd down and extends the drive which ends in a score. $2,500 if it ends in a punt.

If the league fines you first, then no fine from the team. If you save a touchdown like Tyron Smith did and get fined, the team pays the fine for you.

I think that would get people's heads out of their asses real quick.

^ I don't know what that is.

The money could go into a pool and be split up at the end of the year between the two least penalized offensive and defensive players.

Coaches need to create a power point presentation to teach team that penalties aren't good.

The players are stupid, it probably won't change much. We'll have to live with it.

Penalties, mental errors have happened every game thus far, We just happen to cause some turnovers and score points to win. That was the difference. Our offense didn't look that good at all. The defense and special teams deserve most of the props for this win.

The OL was hideous for the most part.

They're not good enough to not do it. Without the running start they aren't gonna get a rush. Without grabbing you got no shot stopping Riley cooper 1 on 1

Dallas has more penalties per game than they have had since at least 2003.

Prior to last weeks game they were on pace to set a 12 year high for turnovers too.

Easily one of the sloppiest teams in the league. Thankfully the penalties have slowed down. Even though the opposition has missed a couple of them, I'll take it.

You guys are overreacting about the oline issues. We won the game and you guys are complaining about the oline. Was the oline bad when ROmo found Dez Bryant for a touchdown This site is retarded. Complain when we lose, complain when we win. Which is it

I'm channeling Dblair and Theebs here. There positivitey is missed here

No, but it was horrendous the previous third down when Romo had to re-enact a Matrix fight scene just to find Austin on 3rd and 5.

As well as a number of other plays. See Doug Free letting Brandon Graham go untouched for his first NFL sack for example.

What gets me is this same type of stuff happened under Wade Phillips. I can’t think of anything more frustrating then seeing guys jump offsides and giving the offense a first down without doing anything. Complete lack of discipline, focus and awareness on this team. You have to blame coaching and players with little going on upstairs.

I think they should have flagged the guard for a false start when Mo jumped offsides. I can see why he did it.

The only player to look good on that play, or at least keep his initial blocking position, was Cook. Everyone else was pushed 5 yards into the backfield with esp. Livings being completely turned around and falling to the ground. That was pathetic.
