By the way, I think the career count on the number of times Eli Manning has gotten away with intentional grounding against us is up to 30 now

Another new one in the books tonight "the intended receiver was in the area"

Yeah, he was blocking the whole time.

this was a big "non" play

Yeah, but they never seem to mention all the times he's shit the bed. It's like with Favre - they always mention his good stats, but never mention he is also the NFL's all-time turnover King and has no fear of anyone ever coming close to unseating him.

Youre kidding, right?

Collinsworth made probably the truest statement I've heard any talking head make as it pertains to Romo.

something like: He's tied for the most game winning drives, eventhough nobody knows it.

He's far from perfect, but he's really only played on one SB caliber team in 2007. Most seasons the team has been flawed in one or more aspects, injured or whatever.

Ive never seen the offense so balanced, the defense so okay, and the team relatively healthy. You're seeing what he can do on a balanced team. He's a great QB on par with the rest of the big guys. Manning is the only one I'd place above all of them. He's just a freak.

He and Cruz on the field at the same time is gonna be scary, Dallas better get to work on their DLine and corners

I think we have some pieces, but we need more.

D Lawrence has a couple or three flash plays every game it seems...he had a couple of really nice spin moves to get around his guy tonight...sacks should follow soon I'd hope...Crawford has a lot of upside in this scheme...

We could have a really good corp of LB next yr if Lee can ever figure out how to stay healthy.

I think Wilcox is good for a strong safety...I really think this Patmon kid has some upside too

But we need more

Right, always the excuses. Look, for at least a quarter of the "comebacks" Tony gets credit for, we were behind in the 4th quarter to start with, due to his own bonehead picks and/or fumbles. He gets hero credit for shit he caused, then made up for.

In the turnover department yes, he is definitely NO Favre or Eli. And I wasn't saying he is. I'm just saying the man-love for Tony is never tempered with the simple fact that he's shit the bed in the 4th almost as many times as he's pulled a win out.

Why in the fuck did he not throw the ball? That was really weird.
During the replay I saw typical Eli under pressure, real or imagined. That deer in the headlights, choker look.

That's why.

What excuses?

Im telling you he has the label he has. He gets way more flack than Favre ever got. I'm not sure where you get he doesn't catch shit for his mistakes. Everytime Dallas has been brought up this year on nfl live or whatever, it's constant, guys pick the cowboys because of Murray and limiting Romo from being Romo.

News flash, limiting any QBs throws is going to make that QB better. I'll take balanced Romo over go out and win every game you can Romo.

Each and every time Dallas is behind late, they flash that stat of Tony's incredible comeback record. Everyone knows about it. All Collinsworth did was beat the dead horse with man love.

That's what I've been saying all along. Limit the liability. When I was saying it this offseason, you guys called me crazy, among many other things far worse. I said that if they avoided the injury plague and if we saw some decent 3rd down conversion rate, the defense would be better too. The howls almost never ended here over that one, but wow, take a look. It happened.

Hey, I admire Romo. If he doesn't get in the HoF on the first vote, I think that's a crime. He is a hell of a man to do what he does with what he's had to do it with both physically, injury wise and with what talent he's had around him, especially the shit defenses he's had. He came from Div 3 nowhere and ate shit for three years on the bottom of the roster, and made the best of his chance when it came. He is a American success story. I don't hold back at all, acknowledging that.

But, most people do NOT acknowledge he STILL does stupid fucking shit. He did it tonight, the pass right before we had to settle for that field goal. He is a lucky fuck that wasn't picked off. And THIS IS TONY! You gotta take the bad with the good, but for fuck's sake, you gotta acknowledge the bad. The stupid shit he STILL does, nine freaking years in.

And, I definitely gotta give him credit. He said he would be a better quarterback this year, and he has been. And he said this before he knew the running game was going to be anywhere near as good as it has been. He's a man of his word.

I guess maybe I'm more objective because I'm more detached than I used to be, but I always expected us to win because when Tony is on it literally only takes a few plays to put it in the endzone. I mean, it was only 11 points. Not like it was 24 or something.

Or no, it's not that I'm any more objective, I always expected it. In fact, I'm always surprised when we have an opportunity for a game winning drive and people *don't* expect us to win. Tony has done it so many times.

bb is right, though, Eli's horrendous overthrow of the wide open TE might have been the difference. Instead of their having 1st and goal at the 1 or 2, or even a TD right there, it's our ball at the 40 or whatever and we have the mo. That's the kind of things that happen to 3-8 teams, though.

They need to put a disclaimer on Tony's new leading category.

Most 4th qtr winning drives, but only gets credit for half because his team was losing in the 4th qtr because of something he did and they wouldn't need him to win on the final drive if he wasn't such a shitty QB earlier in the game.

Can they fit that in one of their cute little stat boxes?

This game felt like a game the Cowboys would lose. It just had that vibe to it.

The Cowboys drove down the field, took the lead and defense finished the game. Unbelievable.

Who are these Cowboys?

The offensive line on that last drive was crazy. It’s like they said, ok enough fuckin around, lets finish this. They were too dominating and gave the Giants enough time for a comeback. Thankfully the refs saw they were short on 4th down.

Great win.

btw. Next time double or triple cover Beckham Jr. please.

Romo's season stats are pretty damn awesome

Now that they've updated. Romo is 2nd in the league with a QB rating of 111.4 (Rodgers is at 119.3)

2nd in the league in Comp % at 68.8, 2nd in the league in Yds Per Attempt 8.54 ...Only 6 picks and 3 of those were in the first game when its clear he wasn't ready to play. Romo also has a TD % of 7.5% which is also puts him near the top.
