Not really Cowboys related so a mod can move.

I've long avoided NFL Network because they mostly just replay the same shows with the same annoying 'characters.'
But I was flipping through the channels yesterday and saw this show.

If you get into the draft, and you ever get a chance to check out NFL Networks "Caught In The Draft" episodes, they're pretty good.

I've only seen one episode, where they basically go back and profile an individual years draft (first round). Talks about who the names were, who picked who, why, etc. For example, yesterday they were profiling the 1984 draft and went into how the USFL had robbed a lot of talent from that class (Mike Rozier, Steve Young, Jim Kelly, Herschell Walker) and how teams at the top of the draft didn't know what to do because there was so many rumors of which players were signing with which leagues etc.

They were advertising Caught In The Draft: 1994, which I really want to see because IIRC that was the Ki Jana Carter draft and that was the first draft I ever really paid any attention to growing up.

Anywho, seemed like a good show so keep your eyes open for it.

U gotta watch this one, especially the 4 minute mark where Phil Tobin (GM of the Colts to the time) rips Mel Kiper a new one, hilarious!

I've been watching that show and the 1983 one is particularly interesting to Cowboys fans, as Marino and Elway's agent (They had the same guy) confirms Tom Landry was already "dissatisfied" with Danny White and Dallas was looking to get either Elway or Marino.

That was actually the ESPN 30 for 30, but we know what you're sayin'.

Leigh Steinberg, (Aikman's old agent) before he hit the sauce hard. Think he went broke too.

thx, he would be horrible at poker, wears all his feelings on his sleeve. Seems like a horrible attitude to have when he's supposed to be supporting his client, it was shocking to see how upset he got as the draft progressed

the 1984 caught in the draft was interesting, I taped the 1994 draft edition too, going to watch it tonight.

This was the Bill Polian "who the hell is Mel Kiper" draft...

I watched the ones last year, they were pretty decent.

The one comparing and contrasting the great Steeler drafts versus the Cowboy drafts of the 1970s was very interesting.

That was Bill Tobin, not Polian.
