lol

although I'd like to think that Mr. Andrews is making as much money as he is due to looking at x-rays and the like.

Having had a shoulder injury and also dealing with several employees of mine who have had to be cleared to return from work, it is mostly up to how the patient rehabs and participates in their own recovery. The x-rays should look good if the doctor is worth a damn. The doctor (or therapist) has to rely on the patient to see how well the recovery is going.

thats not how it works

and again, if he really wanted to force a trade, he isnt improving his value by not being healthy enough to pass a physical or play

It kind of is.

And yes, sulking, it would seem, is not the best way to earn your next job but it would also not be the first time a NFL player has gone this route.

Not when you are a world class surgeon with impeccable credentials and rep

Had Jenkins been rehabbing with the team and not sulking, he'd be playing this year.

As it is, well... he's not.

Gotta say I'm with dbair on this one. Andrews knows more about his craft than almost anyone in the world, and for sure more than anyone on the Cowboys. If he says the shoulder is bad, then it's still bad.

I guess it's conceivable that Jenkins and his camp completely lied about what Andrews said, but I seriously doubt it. Jenkins could forget about ever seeing him again if he blatantly twisted his diagnosis like that.

Yes, Jenkins pouted when we drafted Claiborne and he's been a baby on the field. But I don't buy this whole theme his troubles are all due to skipping rehab with the Cowboys' trainers. We've seen what wonders Woicik and co have done with the hamstrings on this team.

No doubt Andrews is the best at what he does. I don't think anyone is suggesting he isn't. The issue is whether or not Jenkins is sulking and not giving his rehab 100 percent. The doctor has to rely on the patient to test the limits and strength of the rehabbed shoulder before he or she can clear the patient to return to normal duties. If Jenkins is pouting, not wanting to come to camp, etc., then it is very possible that he is not giving it his all and the doctor would then not be able to clear him. If Dr. Andrews could still see damage on the x-rays, he would be doing another surgery not waiting a few more days for it to improve.

How would it possibly be in Jenkins' best interest to not rehab his shoulder?

"You drafted a corner! Well then I'll fuck up my own shoulder and show you guys!"

Doesn't make sense. It's a contract year and he knows that better than anyone.

Maybe it's as simple as he had a very serious surgery and the thing hasn't come along.

And I don't know what X-rays have to do with anything... We're not talking about bone damage.

The issue has nothing to do with the dr. Where is that coming from?

It's about Jenkins decisions on blowing off the team and what they wanted him to do.

He did the opposite apparently if fisher is right this is all on the back of bad advise from rosenahaus.

Cowboys got DEz away from him and then the story comes out of nowhere about rosenhaus paying agents.....

The injury was well before the Carr signing or the draft. Jenkins was scheduled to rehab with the team. The trade demand and rehabbing in Florida stuff didn't start until the Cowboys drafted Claiborne. The team seems genuinely upset that Jenkins is not practicing by now. I doubt they would be grumbling about it if there was legit concern that his injury is worst than expected.

Here's the main point of all these posts about Jenkins' injury. I'd be willing to bet (and I don't bet) that if Jenkins was traded to a team tomorrow, not only would he show up to camp but he would also suddenly magically pass his physical.

Other than this Fisher thing, nobody has said anything about Jenkins grumbling

doubtful, but he is scheduled to see Dr Andrews again this week (weather permitting, due to TS/hurricane he might not get to fly in) so maybe he'll be cleared then
