I never went to the moon. Doesn't mean I couldn't have.

Disregard I lack the means, training, qualifications, and intelligence to actually go to the moon. I still could have someway some how.

We have no cap room, fucky. Prey tell how we could've signed this guy today if we wanted to.

FFS.

we had no cap room two years ago either shit for brains, yet somehow they swopped in and nearly signed Asomougha didnt they? The only reason they didnt is because Philly ended up offering even more.

HERE! LET ME TRY AND PROVE MY POINT ABOUT HOW WE COULD'VE SIGNED SOMEONE IF WE HAD CAP ROOM THAT WE DON'T HAVE BY REFERENCING ANOTHER INSTANCE WHERE WE WANTED TO SIGN SOMEONE BUT COULDN'T BECAUSE WE DIDNT HAVE AS MUCH CAP ROOM AS SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

Wait.... wut?

Also, ease up on the personal attacks. It's not a good look, and it's not helping your case.

You're only frustrated because for some reason, you want to insist there isn't a cap problem when there quite clearly is.

Doesn't make people who recognize that fact "fucktard trolls."

?

How could we have signed Huff today if we wanted to?

The same way we could have signed Asomougha two years ago, they'd have created the space. Except in that case we we snug against the cap and somehow managed to create the space to sign a guy to a 10+ mils per yr contract. They saw a guy they really wanted and figured out a way to get him. Did they ultimately sign him, no. But it wasnt because they didnt or couldnt create the cap space they need to make an aggressive offer.

I have never said we dont have a cap problem. I have contended that if there was somebody they really wanted to sign, they'd probably find a way to do it.

When you totally miss the point and continue to argue otherwise, it does.

I dont know anyone here claiming we arnt snug againt the cap. The argument you've made is there's no possible way we can sign anybody, when in fact in the past we have found ways in difficult cap situations to sign people they really wanted.

Just because they havent went out and signed any high priced people doesnt mean they didnt have the ability to if they had REALLY found a guy they felt like they had to have. They did it just recent with Asomougha, when everyone said we had no room whatsoever. They made a very aggressive offer for him that year and (fortunately) were outbid.

So the only reason we sign an Allen instead of a Quin is that we just didn't want the better player... Had nothing to do with money...

Got it.

That's a convenient homer position to take.

"We are up against the cap. But it doesn't hamper us in signing free agents at all. If we want to sign a guy really bad we'll make it happen. What's that you say? We didn't sign Player A? Well, we must not have wanted him bad enough."

Do we ever NOT sign someone because we can't afford it on the cap? Or are all the people who sign with other teams just not people we're that interested in?
