Just chilling through the next couple of hours until the in-laws get here and I deliver my traditional Christmas message to them; " I will straight up cut you if you take the last piece of my wife's apple pie".
I feel it's heartwarming but not too sentimental.

One of my good longtime friends who is long far away in Georgia and haven't seen in about 13 years and for the last several months needed a liver transplant or was going to die.... Finally got that new liver and texted me this morning with the news and a Merry Christmas.
I have no tree, no presents, no decorations not even a sock, and haven't celebrated holidays of any kind in over 30 years not even my own birthday, and today I feel full of the holiday spirit.
