OT Pat McQuistan, a six-year veteran who spent four years (2006-09) with the Cowboys, is back after signing with the club Friday. The unrestricted free agent had a morning workout in front of coaches and scouts. To make room on the 90-man roster, the team waived undrafted rookie Taylor Dever, out of Notre Dame.

Oh look, the pro personnel department brought back a former player. Easier than scouting someone new

Why would any team sign a guy just as a camp body when they know he has next to zero chance of being anything more than that?

Why not sign a guy who you have seen suck ass and hope that maybe he improves a little, possibly being worth a PS spot or making the roster?

You think he makes the team based on his own ability?

Haha.

Any chance he has comes from the possibility that the OL is in worse shape than anyone would want to imagine.
