Do you feel confident in the Cowboys' running back committee approach?

Will McClay: I still do because No. 1 our offensive line, No. 2 the ability of the guys that are back there. McFadden has taken some snaps here lately. You see his explosion, you see his vision, you see his ability to find creases. He can take it the distance. Joe Randle has done a great job in camp. He's been the lead back in camp. Those flashes that you saw last year, there can be more of those. Dunbar is a guy that ... people think he's a space player. But in this zone scheme, you can see guys that size have production. And the biggest key part of it is Scott Linehan calling plays. He know how to use the players to the best of their ability. The running back by committee deal is something that is gonna hopefully help us have longevity at the position because the running back position is a position that's gonna get injured.

Most of us have said forever Garrett has no feel for the game, was a predictable play caller, and had no clue how to put individual players in positions to succeed.

Seeing is believing. He's just telling us what many of us non-homers already knew......

If Linehan is going to make more use of the TEs for red zone and moving the chains because the rbs are not a strength, that would prove the Linehan talent use. Witten should command a double team by himself and Hanna and Escobar are faster and taller (respectively) than most lbs who would have to cover them. Swaim looks like a natural.

Yep suddenly he looks like a good pickup in the 7th round doesn't he?

Essentially the 2016 6th, because that's what we used to get him. Which is still puzzling since there was just a few selections in the 7th before UDFA and he likely would've been there.

Also, you have to wonder if we'll use him. Because we've not done well employing multiple TEs in the past and even if he makes the team over Hannah, there's two guys ahead of him on the depth chart. And good luck getting Witten off the field.

Confirms what we know because McClay emphasized the importance of calling the plays and his ability to use players to the best of their abilities.

Linehan IS a good coach. Garrett isn't. Hence his having responsibilities stripped from him and the team finally excelling.

Pretty sure he would have been gone then, with a better FA offer. Clearly dallas saw value in him and wanted to assure they got him. BUT, then you say:

And sadly I have to agree.
