I was going over his highlight tapes of his Freshman and Sophomore years and I was pretty surprised that as a Freshman, how well he was able to read and react. For instance, against Colorado, the Buffs tried running a reverse with the WR, the initial run going to the right, and he read the LT and LG heading towards the left to set up the blocks for the reverse option. Everyone on Eastern Washington's D was fooled on the play except for him and he was able to stop it for a 3 yard loss.
We need him to be healthy next year because he easily could be the smartest player in the defensive backfield, and will validate the Sean Lee/Bruce Carter comparisons made by people within the organization. No, not guessing.
edit: sorry, it was the LT and the C that headed off to seal the blocks.
