Was that when McMahon asked jerri if he was embarrassed about the quality (or lack thereof) of the team? and jerri the dipshit responded with something like:

"Would you be embarrassed standing in this incredible stadium?"

Jones Not ‘Embarrassed’ By Cowboys, But Should He Be?
By Adam Crouch | 105.3 The Fan , CBSDFW.COM

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Disappointed. Upset. Frustrated.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones voiced a number of emotions when reflecting on yet another playoff-free season following Sunday’s 24-22 loss to the Eagles.
The Cowboys have become the posterchild for mediocrity in the NFL, finishing 8-8 for a third straight season en route to losing the NFC East on the season’s final day each time. Since 1997, the Cowboys are an incredible (and symmetrical) 136-136.
So the question needed to be asked to the man in charge — the owner and GM who has final say on every aspect of the organization: “Are you ever embarrassed by the Cowboys?”
As honest as the question was, the answer was even more direct.
“Would you get embarrassed if you were standing in this stadium? Seriously?” said Jones. “The answer is no.”
The stadium?
And with that answer, every Cowboys fan confirmed his greatest fear: It’s not about performance. Jerry doesn’t measure himself against other GMs and teams by W-L records. He’s not embarrassed by the team’s failures.
It’s all about the atmosphere; it’s all about JerryWorld; it’s all about the…”show”.
Jones expressed a similar sentiment two weeks back on 105.3 The Fan’s New School with Shan & RJ. Following the Cowboys crushing week 15 loss to the Packers, Jones was asked if he ever worried that apathy would set in with an emotionally tired Cowboys fan base.
“Not with games like the other day. That’s a show, if you want to look at it that way,” said Jones.
“Show” — a four letter word that should be eradicated from a GM’s vocabulary.
Dedicated fans care little about production or entertainment value of home games. The world’s largest indoor screen is flashy, but fans demand wins, division titles, and rings — or at least progress.
Cowboys insider Mike Fisher often reminds us to separate ‘GM Jerry’ from the marketing side of Jerry. But the truth is, we shouldn’t have to.
No one questions the effort Jerry puts into the Cowboys, but is it misplaced?
Maybe so, maybe not. But either way, things aren’t likely to change between the lines. Jason Garrett will return, and Jerry will remain the GM for the forseeable future.
In the meantime, enjoy the game; enjoy the stadium; and though you won’t escape the embarrassment of being a Cowboys fan…enjoy the “show”.

Please STOP with the "success" word!

Speaking of which, there was way too much talk of Super Bowl success in yesterday's Kickoff Luncheon.

The team has one decent year during which they win one stinking playoff game, and some folks are acting like the team is destined to win a Lombardi. That's naive.

Amen. I didn't watch or listen to that luncheon (if such a thing was even possible) but in the clips I've heard on the radio, you hear a ton of "Superbowl" but almost no "Giants."

That's what's worried me since last year ended. It's nothing but sunshine and rainbows from everyone. Totally wrong message.

I hate this about the Cowboys, seems like anytime we get a few players worth a damn, the praise comes in like a flood. Good thing is that it appears that the linemen don't eat the cheese and seem to be hard workers so hopefully they'll come close to expectations but I think they'll miss Murray this season, I believe he helped them look good as well. Everything is interconnected in my opinion and I'll be shocked if theres not a step back in performance in the running game this year.

Hopefully, the reallocation of resources to the defense will more than make up for this.

I don't know whats gonna happen this year but it sure seems like we have more tickets that usual in this lottery and if they can stay healthy and get a little lucky, it should be a fun year.

I'm usually punished for my optimism when it comes to the Cowboys so I hope I don't have to eat these words later

Nothing is worse than those faggy faux cowboys who wave those giant flags after every TD and those seafoam green pants. Nothing.

Fucking exactly. And another reason I'm not too optimism about this season.

Reminds me of 2008 Hard Knocks and all the SB talk coming off a 13-3 season. Except we had a better head coach then.

Gawd, I hate seeing the Cowboys on Hard Knocks, hope they never do it again

I agree. Especially that year. 2002 wasn't as bad IIRC, but 2008 we had way too many showboaters and had this attitude of entitlement.

Roy Williams 31 trying to be a practical joker on TO was awkward to watch too.

No they don't! That should be painfully obvious by now! They continue to fill the stadium and buy the swag, and continue to post on the internet about how great the Cowboys are and how this will be their year! Are you nuts?

That's RELIGION. Faith.
I think we go 12-4 this season. That's right, I said it.
Bookmarked! I would love to see this be correct. However I have no faith, no trust at all in this organization, so I am looking at 8-8 or 9-7, realistically. I know last season was a aberration. A fluke.
