this is the other part - sure, jerry is a proven idiot..but if its jerrys idea to get a new offensive play caller and a new defensive coordinator then i dont give a damn..because that is exactly what this team needs

I am upset that Ryan has become the scapegoat while Garret is perfectly safe.

Do you think Garret will be fired. If you do than your pretty naive

your naïve and you cant keep up very well.

the head coach is making these decisions, for now he is not going anywhere, for better or worse.

And yet we aren't in rebuilding mode. Now the defense has to learn possibly a whole new scheme after barely being able to digest the former defensive scheme. It's all a little too cyclical for my tastes.

Hopefully the new OC does enough to keep us competitive as I'm sure he'll probably run a similar O to what Garrett is trying to do, so the learning curve will be pretty small. That is our only saving grace.

No we aren't. If we were, either Romo or Ware would be in some trade discussions and we wouldn't be considering re-signing Anthony Spencer.

I can tell you that Jerry doesn't think the playoffs and being able to accomplish something in them are that far away.

Are you for real. You actually think Garrett made that decision. Come on Theebs

Garret might have made the phone call, but that as done by Jerry.

Correct me if I am wrong but it was Jerry saying that BIG Changes are coming. Do you think Garret called him and said. Jerry I am making big changes. I want Rob out.

I always felt this was overblown. If high school kids can learn new schemes in one off-season than professionals certainly can. The bigger issue is who is doing the teaching and their methods.

Weren't they using that as an excuse for their 2011 failure?

Do a lot of high schools run pro-style schemes?

All 4-3 defenses are the same? Don't different coordinators have different tendencies?

Of course. Even when you have returning coaches they introduce new plays, new packages, etc. Coaches spend a lot of time in the off-season attending coaching clinics and seminars. They see things that worked somewhere else and try to incorporate them into their playbook. Coaching is a constant evolving "process". Even old guys like Dick LeBeau and Monte Kiffin add stuff yearly.

hopefully our next defensive coordinator adds the stopping the offense play to the book next season

Anyways, I'm excited that we're moving to the 4-3 as lately there are a lot of those quick, undersized OLBs flooding the draft.

He is still being scapegoated. Garrett is getting a pass.

Same thing with Skip Peete.

How dare you not have a better running game Skip! I mean, you get 5 running plays called a game. WTF weren't you more productive??!!??

Garrett has two positions on this staff. He's getting fired from at least one of them.

Again, just dont understand this "scapegoat" thing. Seems like sour grapes type of argument IMO

Yeah until this actually happens you might want to stop repeating it like it's a fact.

Seems to be a foregone conclusion among the media folks doesnt it?

Mike Fisher says Garrett personally told him "change there is defintiely on th table", referring to his job as playcaller.
