Is Mike Woicik overrated?

Guy is heralded as arguably the best Strength & Conditioning coach in the league. He has 6 Super Bowl rings and has been the S&C guy for two dynasties. Clearly, a proven track record, no?

Or is it possible that he's had so much success because he's been the S&C guy under great coaches (Jimmy & Bill) on teams with Hall of Fame QB's (Troy and Thomas).

I get that last year, he couldn't make an impact because of the lack of the off season. But shouldn't this be a year we see gains?

It seems we've had an uncanny number of hamstring injuries this year. And some guys who we've been told having been getting playing time because of a lack of strength, Arkin specifically, still can't get on the field.

And this doesn't even take into account the 4 or so guys who showed up to camp unable to pass the conditioning test - although I'm not sure you can lay that at the feet of Woicik.

Weigh in amigos.

Look, I watched the first Giants game and it was clear we were in better shape down the stretch than them. That's all the proof I needed.

I think his actual impact on the team was greatly overrated by Cowboy fans. Some here.

He may be great at his job but there is only so much he can do. Overcoming the lackadaisical, "country club" mentality that Jerry has created is a lot to ask of a Strength and Conditioning Coach, especially when the Head Coach can't even do it.

You can't use an offensive lineman as an example. The guys we draft don't belong in the NFL.

I think he does a good job.

Definitely a good coach, also definitely overrated. Not some miracle worker, obviously. And the last guy was no slouch.

Please

Half the people here (3 of them) touted this guy as the difference maker for our team especially our offensive line. Shit and the end of the day is shit regardless of how much perfume you spray on it

Okay, so the offensive line sucks.

Explain to me how more players have had hamstring injuries than lives were lost on the Titanic?

Austin has hamstring injuries. He refuses to stretch his hamstrings out.

He still gets paid the same so what's the point?
