Here we go, the Dems have introduced a bill that would turn CA law into a Nationwide law

They are attempting to ban all magazines over 10 capacity.

This is the most ridiculous of all of their stupid arguments against "assault weapons". First, need is never an argument when it comes to a our rights. Who needs a car that can go 180 miles an hour or has 500 HP? Who needs 6 televisions? Who needs a new iPhone every year? The reality is, if a person with a gun and a back pack full of magazines holding 10 rounds enters a public area which is a gun free zone with bad intent, the number of rounds in a magazine is not going to matter. He will fire, reload, and fire again. Unarmed people cannot do anything about it. It is the disparity of force that wins confrontations in most cases. At Columbine HS, the majority of students and teachers killed that day died from shotgun blasts. That is a fact.

But what about store owners in Minnesota? or Milwaukee? or any of the other cities constantly under siege by BLM or Antifa? Do you think you need 30 rounds to hold off a mob intent on looting or burning your store?

But most importantly, of the 19,000+ gun murders in 2020 less than 200 were committed with rifles. That's all kinds of rifles including AR and AK style rifles. An assault weapons bad will have no significant impact on gun deaths, just as it did not change anything in 1994 when "assault weapons" were banned. The reason is that even if we eliminated every assault weapon murder it would only reduce gun murders by about .9% and that assumes that every rifle murder in 2020 was committed with an "assault weapon" and that those intent on killing did not pick up a different weapon and kill.

Gun control fanatics love to bring up Australia when proposing un buybacks and other gun control measures. But the Australian program got only 20% of the guns owned in that country and the ban on guns created a black market for guns. Worse, the black market supplies automatic weapons and worse to criminals willing to pay the black market rates for these guns. Imagine banning gun sin the US while Mexican drug cartels are operating just south of our border. Who thinks criminals in the US would not be abled to get guns from cartels in Mexico?

David Hogg has made a career out of claiming to be a victim of a High School shooting. He has to be the dumbest student to ever get into Harvard.

Plus he lost his pillow fight with My Pillow founder

Here is the problem with the entire gun debate

You used facts to support your argument

Dems don’t use facts, they use feeling to support their argument

You used logic to support your argument

Dems don’t use logic, they use feelings and fear mongering to support their arguments

Plus, no matter what limits/controls/modifications the Dems try to make to our guns it really will have zero impact on crime simply because criminals do not abide by laws, they don’t but their guns legally, they don’t register their guns

They buy guns that can’t be traced or that are registered to anyone but themselves

They use "Truth." Which can be anything you want OUTSIDE facts or logic. And carries a supposed superiority of morals connotation with it. When I hear that word used I know we are not dealing with fact or logic.

Yesterday, Democrats proposed a new bill to ban ownership of "silencers". This was in response to the shooting at the FedEx facility the other day. Their argument? Silencers prevent potential victims from hearing the shots which would be a warning for them to run. LOL. I have to assume these same Democrats have no idea what a "silencer" is or how it works. I assume they saw silencers in movies muffle the gun to the point where it is practically inaudible. This is how far we have fallen. Our elected officials make law based on what they saw in the movies.

"Ban all guns, Covid restrictions forever, all whites are racist, all blacks are oppressed by whites, too many black and brown criminals (with guns) killed by cops," with no mention of the number of cops gunned down by criminals...

More cops were killed by blacks than blacks killed by cops last year

In 2018, over 61 million Americans had at least 1 contact with the police, according to Bureau of Justice statistics. The FBI reports an average of about 350 people killed by cops annually. Almost all of these are considered justifiable. The number of unjustified incidents of cops killing a suspect or innocent bystander, is a small fraction of the total number. Keep in mind the FBI is also reporting incidents where cops kill someone in a car accident. But using the full number which includes accidents and justifiable cases, the number of killings is .000574% of interactions. By almost every measurement this is a phenomenally low error rate and show exceptional control and restraint by our police forces.

It is true, blacks are disproportionately killed by cops as a percentage of population, a point almost always pushed by liberal media and left wing groups. However, what this statistics ignores is 1) According to a study by the San Francisco Chronicle blacks are 7 times more likely to resist arrest than whites or Hispanics, and 2) Blacks make up a disproportionate number of violent crime suspects according to FBI crime data. One thing has been a consistent factor in almost all of these incidents of cops killing black suspects. The suspects resisted arrest.

Cops are not robots. They are human and will make mistakes. Some cops are not good cops. Again, they are human. But the point is "to err is human...". But also, in many cases of cops shooting suspects, the suspects gave the cops a reason to defend themselves. It am not trying to downplay the death of anyone, but when a suspect tries to harm a cop carrying a gun he has a right to defend himself. Being human he wants to survive, go home, and take care of his family. What is going on now is the media is exploiting tragedies for ratings. They are stirring up this racial tension because it is good for their business. They said it themselves, "fear sells".

If we spent a $100 Million to train and arm all of the good people, would the good people then not fear the gangs.
Pleading with the gangs to please not do this doesn't seem like the answer.

Except this has nothing to do with "feeling", ****** Dems and extreme leftists have a very strong belief in why guns need to be eliminated, and it has absolutely nothing to do with preventing murders or mass shootings. It is solely about how they can maintain power once they go full on ******/Communist.

So I ordered a new handgun online last week and was getting concerned that the dealer had not yet sent me a shipping confirmation so I could alert my FFL. Just as I was about to email the vendor to find out what was going on, I received an email from the CEO of the dealer based in Kentucky. The email was an apology to customers experiencing delays in shipping and a confirmation that they had the guns people had purchased and were just dealing with a massive volume of purchases, a backlog of over 14,000 guns waiting to be shipped and they we able to get out about 1300 per day. This is just one online gun shop. Anyone shopping for guns online knows that every major gun dealer has very little inventory left, and ammo prices have increased over 100% because of demand -and it is still hard to find.

The number of guns being sold since late 2019 is staggering. In the first 4 months of 2020, my state of NJ performed 330 thousand background checks for people applying for gun permits and most of those were for first time buyers! It seems the more Democrats talk about taking our guns the more people buy guns.
